Unless they've intentionally kept it unlisted from sites which would have some information to keep it a surprise. IMO, it's likely to premiere very late November/first week in December...they did something similarly weird for the final Indy 4 trailer, which they held until very close to the film's release.
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

It could be a final trailer, attached to a final Vlog?

The film will be finished tomorrow. PJ may slip in a Vlog before the worldwide release - detailing the very final steps in the production of the film.

I never knew Simon had got on such a downer after the films made the Tolkien name so much more widely known. I'm so glad he's over all that now because what his grandfather has given to the world is so special that it would be a huge shame if it had a negative effect on Simon's life.

The article on splitting the book into three films

doesn't seem very positive. It flat out says the films won't be fantastic because of their source material's smaller scope, pointing to the fact that the trailer looks catered for an audience of children. For a magazine promoting the hobbit, this can't be encouraging. Here's the quote, "The trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey doesn't inspire much confidence. It's main focus is on the funny and fractious Bilbo and a band of bickering and boisterous dwarves. It suggests a series of films that is aimed at a younger audience, films that avoid the darkness and danger of The Lord of the Rings for something far more comic -- softer, safer and more child-friendly. Will they be fun? Certainly. But fantastic? No way." :(

...to highlight those humorous aspects for the trailer, yes. But the story has many qualities, and plenty of dark and dangerous lurking under the surface. The film will reflect this. I'll eat my blog if I'm wrong. Or maybe just delete it

Cosmo Landesman decided to do yet another analysis of whether or not there is "enough" to make three movies. Obviously PJ and the WB think there is plenty, and so do I. AND I think they will be fantastic.

I have been saying pretty much the same. I also don't expect movies as fantastic as LOTR. The book is what it is. That sounds as if i'm not looking forward to the movies. I am.

If anything, I imagine people on here have seen and heard more film-related content than he has. And yeah, the second trailer didn't inspire confidence.
