Religion is a touchy subject for a lot of people but Tolkien was a renowned Christian and was a big reason C.S. Lewis became a christian. What is everyones opinion on JRR Tolkiens religion?

I'm going to lock this thread, and remove it in a bit. TORN is the place to celebrate Tolkien's work, but his religion is a private matter, as is everyone's opinion about it.
