I adore the Watch, and can only hope the BBC recapture the brilliant (with the exception of Jason, fortunately restricted to a small role) Hogfather, not the dismal The Colour of Magic with Jason hamming it up all over the place. Still think Rhys Ifans should have been cast as Rincewind.

and sad about Pterry. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet him He hadn't been diagnosed at the time, but he was noticing something odd; he couldn't figure out how to tie his necktie, and he mentioned that. It's nice that his daughter is carrying on with Discworld.

I remain gutted over Terry Pratchett's illness, but that does sound like a ray of light. His Discworld series has given me such a lot of pleasure over the years. I'll be very interested to hear more about 'The Watch' - potential for wicked spoofery is huge! Will be very interested in the casting, and agree - please, not David Jason! I think Matt Smith would make a decent Rincewind when he hangs up his key to the Tardis, but for many peole he might still be too much The Doctor. Hmm, who would do for Nobby Nobbs, though...
