I thought I would add another link about the Prince's visit to Weta. The article is well worth a read. There are 3 photo shots about the Weta visit and each follow in sequence after number 1. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/7947142/Prince-Charles-celebrates-birthday-in-Wellington.

Confirms Dori has a 'northern' accent

And a very passable one too I must say. It seems like these accents will be the order of the day, with Kili and Fili going this route, and Thorin slightly less so.

Hilarious.
We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

I'm not sure Charles quite "got" the whole thing, but he seemed to be game! William and Harry would have been a lot of fun to watch if they'd been there.

That Yorkshire-ish accent is quite a subtle one to grasp for those outside the British Isles, but Hadlow seems to be doing quite a good job of it. I assume this means Nori will also be Northern, which is a shame because I always imagined him as a cheeky Irish leprechaun type

Why couldn't they have had William Kircher in characrer as Bifur greet him instead?

Sure, it may have caused an international incident, but it would have been funny!
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

This isn't a knock on PJ or anything, but maybe he could have dressed up a bit to greet the prince? I understand that his casual clothing is part of his persona, but one can make the occasional exception...

that next to a royal, and at such a special occasion, pj just stands there as scruffy and relaxed in his clothing and attitude as ever...the only thing missing were his bare feet!

And I am a proponent of eccentricity in most of its forms! However, sometimes it can come off as a tad arrogant (and gimmicky). And I am certainly no monarchist! Just a thought. In general, I really like PJ as a person.

But in this case, i doubt pj was being arrogant and trying to stick it to prince charles. Adter all, didnt martin freeman say : " Sorry, sorry, Sir Peter...he ll kill me if i dont say that.....i didnt realise he was such a monarchist" .

PJ's closet bears a close resemblance to Ernest P. Worrell's. (For those who have absolutely no idea what I'm referring to, click here and skip to 3:23.)
