I wonder if anyone can help me locate a particular story / fan fiction that I have read once and now cannot find! It was about the death of aragorn and Gimli and Legolas deciding to sail into the west, and was an extremely well written story. I think it may not have been in a fan fiction site, and was possibly hosted on the site of the author but I may be wrong on this! Apologies for being so vague but I really want to re-find this story and have tried for hours in vain! Many thanks if anyone can help.

There was also this one, by Chathol-linn. http://greenbooks.theonering.net/...files/053005_05.html
"As all things come to an end, even this story..." Here we read of Bilbo, who is “quiet and drowsy”, that “every now and again he would open one eye” and listen to Gandalf’s tale. Is Tolkien deliberately echoing this passage in LOTR when he writes, “At that Bilbo opened an eye, almost as if he had heard … ‘You see, I am getting so sleepy’, he said.”? - N.E.
