I don't think either one of the goblins shown here is Grinnah. Their faces look too different from what we've seen of him. The White Council building looks great.

So I initially only saw one of the goblins! In any event, I think I am going to enjoy the Goblin Town scenes, at least on a visual level. These guys are so much more interesting than the LOTR orcs, IMO. Glad PJ felt he could play around a bit, and color outside his own lines.

I was originally trying to just link to the new images, but had no luck in that. so i just linked to the whole article about the sculpture, with the images on the side.

Quote: "sorry! not sure how to create a clickable link yet" Shirehorse was kind enough to help me with that, so I'll pass it on: Type url and /url in square brackets [ ] at the beginning and end of your link, no spaces. Welcome, MrGandalf, and thanks for the post!

Does it look the final shot to you?

There's something about it that doesn't look quite right. It looks more like a behind the scenes shot, than a still from the film. Just me?

Maybe because of the aspect ratio?

It is a shot from the finished footage, it is for sure no BTS-shot because it is color corrected, and the building is CGI'd/not real.

I am astonished by how repentantly ugly everything in this movie looks. Unlike LotR's, which was at least pretty good looking, TH actually looks like it was made by the director of "Dead Alive" and "Meet The Feebles". Everything I've seen of this movie turns my stomach. I cannot wait until this fool runs out of legal material to work with (destroy) and these films fade into the dust. http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/11/09/64936-more-spoiler-imagery-from-the-hobbit/#

Btw, isn't it against the forum rules to call the filmmakers derogatory terms?

There's no 'flag' function on theonering.net though :) What I still don't understand are people who clearly decided they don't like anything about these films, but still come here and even take time to look at every new tidbit and 'en plus' take the time to even comment each and every time how much they dislike it :) stange hobbit eeeeh hAbbit!

I guess it is a blessing nobody will force you to watch it then, it may be an awfully waste of time in your life. Thank God for many of us, watching it will be our blessing.

The goblins look great! Ugly little b*stards :) I don't really like the white council shot, but thats because I didn't really liked the Rivendell-look in lotr also: too 'pastel' I think :)

In general, the look of Rivendell is awful. It's like a painting by Thomas Kincaid (blech) of a cheesy theme hotel in Las Vegas. Something really kitsch about it.
