The spliced together dialogue in the beginning sounds...really awkward, I have to say. A few new shots, though, cool.

We finally get a glimpse (if you weren't at Comic-Con) of Radagast and his bunny-sled, plus Thorin and company arriving at Rivendell!!!!

Though Radagast on the sled has been in every trailer and TV spot since the second one was released.

"My name is Bilbo Baggins" shows a side of the character we haven't encountered before. And since the bunnies have come up, I might as well mention that one of the central pillars for my argument that the Nazgul-tombs would be in Angband was the idea that you need snow to have a sled, but since the visuals show that isn't the case, the whole thing becomes much less likely.

Majestic. It makes me wonder if Howard Shore will be reprising the Rivendell theme ("Many Meetings") from Fellowship or if he'll be writing something completely different. I won't complain if it's a variation on that impossibly beautiful theme; it would be hard to beat. Or was that theme only for autumnal Rivendell?

There is a quick shot of the dwarves apparently trying to cross a chasm during the stone giant fight. I'll post some screencaps shortly.

I'm sure Shore will take the original Rivendell theme and slightly alter it.

so that it is recognizable yet has some new element to it. wouldn't make sense for him to totally rewrite the score for a location that is well known by this time with fans of the original films since they are making these films as a prequel.

And taken away with him... I hope I am wrong. That would be stretching this episode a bit too far, no? Then again, it IS PJ after all....

They climb the cliff side, only to realise they are actually climbing up (or across) a Stone Giant?

The other's certainly had marketing pushes, but this spot was solely dedicated to "PRE-ORDER!" instead of us getting excited about the movie.

From trailer 2, you can see that a stone giant falls at the dwarves' feet. The company are all flat against the stone wall, and their expressions suggest that they just went through an ordeal.

-The editing on Thorin's phrase "I cannot guarantee / the hobbit's / safety" sounds really chopped off, it is obvious that the phrase was edited from several sources (the 1st trailer had "I cannot guarantee his safety"). -Bilbo's mouth movements on "My name is Bilbo Baggins" are way off. - It's nice they decided to return to the "Intertitles Floating Over Map" thing instead of "Grey-Yellow-Blob-Thingie" background from the first two spots. - Why is that #3? Does the hispanic community count for nothing?

Referring specifically to the RITD clips. Bilbo appears properly desperate and unsteady. Great look of fright when Gollum jumps down. My reservations about MF aren't trumped by these but they've definitely shrunk in size. (Goes off whistling a happy tune.)
