Blunt the knives.Should be a classic with the ensemble cast performing it.Bilbo is going to be in a world of frustration no doubt.
We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

If this set list is chronological, which is what it seems to be, then there's some interesting clues as to when we will meet some of the characters such as Radagast, or when the White Council Meeting will take place. I'm curious as to why 'Warg-scouts' is before the Rivendell music. But I guess at the same time PJ's probably still moving things around. Thanks for the post!

I love the artwork, especially the extended edition! The track list is great, there seems to be a track included for each important beat in the film, expectedly and thankfully often using chapter titles from the book, as in the LotR soundtracks. Going through the track list feels a bit like going through the whole story, just wonderful! And great that they seem to include the major part of the score even as standard release, on two CDs. Though that could possibly mean we'll get no extra complete music set like with LotR, who knows.

Maybe this is about Thorin choosing between weapons.Maybe he starts off with an axe and can't decide wether he wants Orcrist or his trusty Axe. lol i don't know.![Wink](http://pe1850b.theonering.net/torn-images/wink.gif)

"The Defiler" is in reference to The Necromancer, or Saruman? The earlier character briefs referred to "Azog the Defiler". Now (possibly) changed to Yazneg. Probably we are going to cut to Dol Guldur during the Rivendell sojourn in the same way that LotR occasionally cut to Orthanc and Mordor.

I thought maybe it was referring to The Long Expected Party... I really hope it's not included. It plays with the narrative too much.

I love FotR's introduction, and was hoping The Hobbit would be paced similarly (i.e. Not rushed). Looks like plenty will happen before they get going

Perhaps with a reference to the Mordor/Sauron/Nazgūl-Theme? Would be great

Old Bilbo begins his story.
Old Friends (Extended Version) Gandalf meets Bilbo. flashback to earlier meeting when Bilbo was young
An Unexpected Party (Extended Version) Blunt the Knives (performed by The Dwarf Cast) Axe or Sword? Misty Mountains (performed by Richard Armitage and The Dwarf Cast) The Adventure Begins The World is Ahead Not much comment, apart from the inclusion of another song from the book.
An Ancient Enemy Radagast the Brown (Extended Version) It's not clear if this enemy is encountered by the Company or Radagast, but it seems likely that Gandalf does leave the dwarves before the Trollshaws as a result of encountering Radagast.
The Trollshaws Roast Mutton (Extended Version) A Troll-hoard Follows the book.
The Hill of Sorcery Warg-scouts Probably a flash to Dol Guldur, showing wargs being sent out (after Gandalf or Radagast?) DISC 2:
The Hidden Valley Moon Runes (Extended Version) Map reading takes place before the white council meeting.
The Defiler Probably a flashback during the white council meeting. Perhaps Gandalf recounting his encounter with Thrain in Dol Guldur.
The White Council (Extended Version) Over Hill A Thunder Battle Under Hill Riddles in the Dark Brass Buttons Out of the Frying-Pan No suprises here.
A Good Omen ? at the Eagle's aerie?
Song of the Lonely Mountain (Extended Version) (performed by Neil Finn) Dreaming of Bag End End credits.
EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRACKS: A Very Respectable Hobbit Erebor The Dwarf Lords From the prologue.
A Far Dragon is the best kind...

Smaug is ancient enough to count perhaps? Certainly I think "The Defiler" will be a flashback to Azog. LR
