Though there's nothing new here at all... I'm far more interested in what's inside the magazine. Any scans forthcoming tonight?

....But what's up with Galadriel holding the Light of Earendil? Is she going to use it in the movie?

I'm still hoping to see all the individual character poster designs at movie theaters . . . I love the colors.

The all look posed for 3Dness and depth of field (extra stuff in front of the characters like leaves and snow, swords and fingers posed in front of the characters). I'd put money on it being the case.

As I subscribe that's the one I'll be getting

It's not as arty as the others - I'll probably pick up Gandalf's cover at some point as well - but I love that pose and expression. That's Bilbo Baggins. EDIT: Maybe I won't have to get Gandalf individually - "Subscribers will get their own exclusive cover, along with one of the lenticular covers separately from the magazine.". Sounds like the subscriber's cover isn't lenticular though.

I'm actually hoping the 3D lenticular effect isn't that amazing because tracking down these 5 mags could get pretty pricey!

It's refreshing to see some dirt on him. One of my biggest complaints in the design of these movies thus far is how crisp and clean everything is. I understand that this is probably one of the ways they are displaying the more pure side of middle earth. However, I don't quite agree with it. Everyone shouldn't look like they just took a shower and went costume shopping in every scene.

I think they'll look more trashed later on

Okay maybe trashed isn't the right word (well it might be for those who still have supplies of ale on them) but this image and some scenes in the vlogs tell me they won't look lustrous for long.

The fine print states that image is "Bilbo costume concept art"

So my feeling is it isn't a location per se, just an image placed over a photoshopped background.

yeah, they'll certainly get properly dirty later on but they still shouldn't look as clean as they do. The dwarves didn't just teleport to the shire after all.

Decisions, decsions...I love the Gandalf Autumnal image, and the Galadriel one...but the Thorin cover is kewl too! Oh dear, this is going to be harder than I thought!

I'm eager to see what's inside the issue as well.

Is that snow or rain on the Thorin cover? Either way, it looks like we'll be seeing a couple changes of season.
