Just two months left!

Can you believe it?! In Sweden, Belgium, Norway, France, Finland and Denmark (and of course New Zealand, who gets to see it even earlier!) it's exactly 2 months left! Who'd believe it we would ever reach this point 2 years ago when we were deep in the MGM-swamp? 2 months and 2 days for the rest of the world, no idea why some European countries are getting to see it earlier, but I certainly won't complain! I'll be there, tuesday night 11/12/12 23:59 to watch AUJ. There's no way I'm missing out on the midnight premiere after all this waiting.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

As much as I anticipate this movie, I would never preorder any tickets. If the reviews would be terrible, I would not see The Hobbit, no matter how long I´ve waited for it.

You wouldn't watch it yourself to see if you liked it? You'd let other people's opinions decide for you?

Letting other people decide for you. Even if it gets mixed reviews you might end up loving it!

Just going to be more and more advertising, merchandise, and marketing until Dec. 12/14. Actually, it's just three-and-a-half weeks until the spoiler heavy visual dictionary and official movie guide are released. Hooray for movie tie-ins!
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

They tend to show a lot and WB loves to make many of them. I'm guessing we'll get 15-20 different TV spots. I can't restrain myself so I'll watch them all

Some of them are getting a bit repetitive now - the majority of merchandise use the same pictures.

We've waited years and years for this film. 2 months until seeing a third of the film sounds good to me. A year and half wait until the end will fly by! Then we'll all have nothing to do afterwards!

I do prefer having 3 films to tell the story - it lets the characters breathe a bit. I'm only concerned that if the "end of the world'' people have got it right for once and it does all go off on Dec 21, then all the footage for the other two films will be wasted.

And that's a good one by the way. Bofur: Well, the film may have been delayed by a couple of years or so, but it could have been worse... Peter Jackson: Actually, the movie's not coming out until 2014 now... Audience/Gloin: You've got to be joking!!!!!!!!!

anything of the Silm stories. A movie (series) would be good promotion for Silm, like a lot of people are jumping on the Hobbit bandwagon and reading the book for the first time right now. Oh well. I guess this means I get to stay hipster. And the Silm fandom stays pure from the kinds that are infiltrating TH fandom atm.
But every word you say today Gets twisted 'round some other way And they'll hurt you if they think you've lied

That they introduced, and re-introduced, the books and Tolkien's stories to thousands and thousands of people. Nevermind how faithful they are.
