Argyle Sweater does LotR Can't Post

I like the cartoon series Argyle Sweater---Scott Hilburn has the same sense of humor as Gary Larson of the late, lamented Far Side. Today (Wednesday) he takes on LotR.

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.

Ha! And here I was expecting an actual sweater! [In reply to] Can't Post

I thought for a minute you were posting a sweater that someone had knitted into a Shire scene or something! -- but this was funnier than that would have been, no doubt!

An actual sweater would be great, though [In reply to] Can't Post

I think Eowyn of Penns Woods has posted photos of some LotR-themed sweaters. Somewhere I have a pattern for a sweater with a tree on the front, with cable stitches making the branches, which isn't specifically LotR but could be.

We tend to go scenic on socks, hats, mitts, and blankets instead unless they're cabled motifs. =) // [In reply to] Can't Post

I still have the links to the LotR-based tree charts [In reply to] Can't Post

(1 cabled, 1 for colorwork) if you ever need them, and the cabled Two Trees-ish sweater pattern, you know. They're all free! =)

Thank you [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm afraid my days of doing really intricate patterns may be past, but it's good to know where to go if I get a second wind Smile
