Isn't this just a part of the scroll with a title slapped on?

It's not surprising to see movie posters taken from that movie scroll - it actually lends itself to it quite nicely as this newest poster shows. It's also nice to be kept up-to-date on the marketing going on around the globe. So, welcome and thanks again!

There is no need to show the last scene of the film! I understand and apreciate that they hve been throwing us this pieces of info I couldn´t resist to them but sometimes I feel this is too much

And this scene is depicting the attack of the Wargs in the clearing, these are the Misty Mountains, rather than Erebor.

People seeing the movie will asociate that image when the film would approach to the end and so the final situation of the movie, lets say, wouldn´t be a surprise, anyway...

......it was the last scene of the film until you said so. I thought it was just a montage picture of eagles and characters.

Are you sure it's the Misty Mountains? It looks like one single, solitary peak to me. It could easily be the Lonely Mountain. And if so, I quite like the look of it.

Strictly speaking Erebor should not be visible from that location, but this is just promotional artwork.

It would be strange for them to spend so long on this scroll (and edit it when the trilogy was announced) only to have Erebor in completely the wrong place in the scroll? The scroll is so edited and photoshopped, that there could be multiple options: 1) It is Erebor 2) It is a single peak, part of the Misty Mountains 3) The rest of the Misty Mountains have been photoshopped out, to leave a single peak 4) It's a random mountain, to fill the background

I don't remember it, but that doesn't really mean anything. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised to see the main mountain of the films photoshopped into it.
