Karl was interviewed on Newstalk ZB yesterday about his film Dredd 3D. His time on LOTR is mentioned in passing - he talks mostly about Dredd and his career in general.

to hear him speak with his accent after seeing him in so many films where his accent (or lack of it) is perfect!
My g'son just saw him in my copy of DOOM that is gleaned from a video game.
I've still got to see this and so many recent films that have come out and I just haven't had the chance to see it... but to have him in this remake of Stallone's JD is something I can't wait to see! I hope it's the first of a series of Dredd flicks. He did his voice in the interview... that was so fun... and something I'm know Andy Serkis gets all the time ;)
Thanks for this! He's such a neat guy... I'm delighted to see how well he's doing :D
I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.

The acting is really good - especially the woman who plays the villain (spookily quiet), and Karl inhabits the Dredd persona - and the SFX done beautifully, but the story is uninspiring and monotonous. And it's *really* gory - fully deserving the R18.
