Warner Bros. unveils four new banner-style movie posters Can't Post

Warner Bros has unveiled four new banner-style movie posters for The Hobbit: and Unexpected Journey on their Facebook page. The posters include a warmly lit scene around the table at Bag End: (is Ori on a diet? He's stuffing a large piece of lettuce into his mouth), silhouettes of the dwarves, Gandalf and Bilbo in front of a rising moon, Gandalf in front of the door of Bag End (notice the G-rune scratched into the door) and Bilbo in Gollum's cave holding up Sting (glowing blue) with a very sinister-looking Gollum in the foreground.  More gorgeous character/movie stills to drool over. Check it out! Read More...

I get the feeling the company's journey between Rivendell to when they arrive in Goblin Town will be greatly expanded.

Not just the Stone Giants either (which I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE), but perhaps other things too. I remember Tolkien describing the landscape gradually changing and becoming pretty spooky and desolate.

"The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair; and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater."-J.R.R. Tolkien

These are taken from the first scroll... [In reply to] Can't Post

...with changes being Thorin in the foreground of the silhouette hill and Gollum looking towards us instead of at Bilbo in the cave.

Everytime I see the company climbing up that hill... [In reply to] Can't Post

...I'm reminded of this:

Slightly rearranged from the scroll, this one (I thought it curious how in the scroll, Thorin was situated in the background, almost at the very bottom of the hill), but still good. Now, just put Balin next to Thorin, give him some recognition Evil

Not a fan [In reply to] Can't Post

WB is doing a pretty poor job so far in regards to posters / banners, unfortunately.

Great job, love 'em! [In reply to] Can't Post

Getting more excited to see this. Smile

King Arthur: Who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder?

Tim: There are some who call me... Tim?

King Arthur: You know much that is hidden oh Tim.

Tim: Quite.

I Like them [In reply to] Can't Post

But they're all just recycled images, some from the 2nd trailer and some from the old scroll...nothing new. Wah!

But that shot of Gollum is quite good.

That's not the Misty Mountains [In reply to] Can't Post

The original banner released by WB, which was chronological, shows that moonlit hill between the troll scene, and Rivendell. So, it is likely somewhere in the Trollshaws/ Ettenmoors.

It would fit his personality well ! [In reply to] Can't Post

He's gentle and well learned...
But it's a bit anachronic, I don't think bit could a real explicit information.
