I think this confirms that Bofur will be one of the more prominent Dwarves. And seeing this image of Radagast's staff has convinced me it's the same design as the on Gandalf has in FOTR.

He is no Orc or Goblin. Deformed man? Perhaps a woodmen of Mirkwood? Can anyone put these pictures elsewhere, it's taking ages to load the entire page.

Corrupted elf, orc link? Maybe PJ is cementing the origin of orcs.

I'm not reading too much into the exact appearance based on the figures because they're pretty awful. For one I can't see him being as pink as that.

He uses two different origins in the LOTR trilogy (being pooed out of the earth, and elf mutants).

He uses two different origins in the LOTR trilogy (being pooed out of the earth, and elf mutants). Technically the only orcs coming out of the ground were Saruman's Uruk Hai which were a special breed. But Saruman explains that orcs first came into being as mutilated elfs.

Yazneg kind of has an Easterling vibe about him ... not his appearance, but the costume does (kind of).

unless we're looking at different orcs (I mean the one just below and to the left of Bolg). Yazneg looks to me to be within the limits of variation we've seen for orcs in this series.

My mistake, I thought it was Yazneg. Still don't think he'll be that pink. A pale colour maybe. Certainly his face looks a lot more grotesque in the statue, and I'd be inclined to trust the detail in that more.

Very interesting...whatever the case, it's always nice to see a bit more to shed new light on what's going on in the films.
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!
