Ringer Elentariel sends along this report (complete with pictures!) from RingCon 2007:I just returned from another wonderful trip to Germany, where I had a chance to attend RingCon 2007. Among thousands of LOTR fans in incredible costumes, there were numerous LOTR stars, and tons of entertainment.
The LOTR guest stars included: Andy Serkis (Gollum), John Noble (Denethor), Thomas Robins (Deagol), Mark Ferguson (Gil Galad), Jed Brophy (orc), Lori Dungey (Mrs. Bracegirdle), Jonathan Harding (Erestor & Dinendal), Kiran Shah (hobbit stuntdouble), and Daniel Falconer (Weta workshops).
Also featured were two actors from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest",Clive Ashburn and Isaac C. Singleton Jr.Some of the programming included panels from the Tolkien society, medieval rock bands, a Middle-Earth market, a charity auction, an art exhibition, a dance workshop, a choir workshop, a tengwar workshop, and sword fighting, and bow shooting workshops.
Lots of entertainment and chances to mingle with the stars, made for another incredible weekend! Truly, one of the best LOTR conventions in the world, and worth checking out!

 Hi everybody,
i was there, too. It was my 5th RingCon and i love it.
Ringcon is the greatest LotR-Convention in Europe/ Germany.
The guest are comes from far away - New Zealand, Japan, Argentina, USA, England, Itali, Swizzerland, France, Danmark, UK, Russia and Hungary, Germany of course and lots more.
It is like a great familymeeting - i meet there lots of friends. And we have fun over 3 days. There are a few panels of the actors, interlektuels and so on, you can play games, chat with thousand peoples, buy some stuff you need for your self  , and partytime is everytime, and more ....

I love how the actors and crew are still attending these Cons - and I bet they get as much out of them as the visitors do! ;)

uff - it is not so easy what the best was - all was great.
I love the charity-auction. Mark, Lori und Jed made it great - and so goes over 2400 Euro to the kids.
and the Ring-Thing was so funny. the whole chartiy was great - and what they do with the money, is fantastic.
Ring-Thing is a small show. Mark is the host, and there was Jonathan,Lori and a guest out of the auditory on one site, and Thomas and Jed with an other guest out of the auditory on the other side. The must answers questions and play somes games. It was very funny - i loved it.
Another think i like was the costume-constest... espc. the "Pöbel-Elve" she was so funny.
So i really can´t say what the best was - i love it all.

I'm so delighted to see SO MANY of our LotR cast and crew still coming out to play :D HOW COOL! There they are!
What a great convention. I really, really need to win the lottery. Maybe if I bought a ticket...
