You know, there is, every year, a day upon which I begin to feel "Fall". Today is that day. It used to almost always coincide with the coming of Bilbo and Frodo's birthday in September, but it's getting earlier and earlier. I don't know what brings it on or signals it, possibly the State Fair, or the Perseids or the drop in temperature we've had. Something--I don't know. But I'm ready for "God's time", as I've heard it called, to be back. You know I never fiddle with the clocks to accommodate the rest of the state.

the news this week that autumn may be largely devoid of its usual color due to the drought. Brown County will probably not be worth the trip this year. I am ready for a change in seasons; this summer has been brutally hot. I hope we get a foot of snow by Thanksgiving.
Maybe it was the inordinate drop in temperature. It has felt like fall the past few evenings.

the various exams with 30 examinees in each varies. Usually there's a 10% leftie on average. Then I'll have a group that jumps to nearly 20%!! Same with guy-to-gal ratio. Most groups are female dominant, the suddenly there's almost a 50-50 proportion! It's fun to watch.

(20 miles) from my house. The area is more built up than the photos imply.
Unfortunately a number of people try to get free rides on the freight trains and wind up with amputations or worse. Glad your brother's on the job.

Well, I know Martin Freeman is a lefty... although if he wants to go all method-y he will pretend to do everything right handed (Ian Holm is right handed and wrote and such in LOTR) but you could always keep an eye out!
