Would make little to no sense for Brophy to simply fabricate a story about his character being a bit of a thief. His comments, plus some official descriptions, have made it clear for a while now that he will be a klepto.

It does say four "other magicians"...so, simply a reference to the five Istari? Not sure...
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

While I'm uncertain about the idea, it could produce some comedic moments. On a related note, the article does not say much about Oin, a character whom I (and others) suspected as being portrayed as hard of hearing, due to the clip shown in the trailer.
"Radagast is, of course, a worthy wizard, a master of shapes and changes of hue, and he has much lore of herbs and beasts, and birds are especially his friends."-Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings.

From the description I was imagining some wild subplot involving Dori, Nori, and Ori, above and beyond the characterization. Forgive me if I'm not putting things well lately; I'm on prednisone for an inner-ear thing and it's muddling my head a bit.

So is it just a reference to Alatar and Pallando, or have they been cast. Xanaseb is going to be amazed. Shame he's on holiday at the moment!

I know, in the book, Galadriel is not the most powerful. But at Comic-Con Philippa Boyens hinted that she would be in the movie.

This doesn't really make sense, but I thought maybe he appears to have come back from the dead at Bo5A. Then maybe his helmet comes off to reveal it's his son, bent on revenge. But looks more like Bolg will be torturing Thrain at Dol Guldur.

A pretty good hint we're going to see him do something not so nice to Thror and/or Moria...

" Azog It was said that the molester was Azog many years ago, fell in the great battle between the Orcs and the Dwarves. But now he appears at the top of a deadly horde of killer orcs again. For Gandalf begins a race against time because he has to figure out where the connection between the dangerous orc commander and the growing evil, which takes in the ruins of the fortress of Dol Guldur forms. One thing is abundantly clear: no one is deterred from his purpose Azog, Thorin Oakenshield destroyed to the last dwarf companions." So the old head on a pike thing was all a conspiracy :). I'm a huge fan of the battle of Azanulbizar and am rather concerned that Azog being alive would mean we will miss out on some gruesome vendetta material (not to mention Dain's claim to fame), but maybe they somehow intend to have the cake and eat it too by giving us a bizarre undead and extremely vengeful Azog. It seems the list of potential zombies keeps growing. But I would have assumed that his son Bolg would have been enough of a nemesis on his own without dredging up Azog.
