personally anything more than 10 minutes of Bloom on screen is too long anyways... So whether he filmed for 6 days or 6 months its still more than a cameo and too much by the way Christopher Lee did all his stuff in a very short time, just a few days actually and if they are adding White council he should have just as much time as Bloom IMHO 
As far as Tauriel wasn't she supposed to be replacing the captain of the guard? or at least thats the way I understood it. As long as her role isn't too dominant I'll try and live with it
