I'm seeing this bigature and wishing they'd used the same techniques for The Hobbit. It's the one thing that I'm feeling bad about... the lack of miniatures and bigatures

but the supervisor of the miniatures department I thought said they weren't using them on The Hobbit..did I miss something saying they were going to be using miniatures again or is this just some sort of preproduction stuff... I realize the photo is from LOTR or I think it is anyways

It's preproduction stuff, meant to give Peter a pre-viz of actual sets. That's how I understood it.

when I seen them talking models in the Vlog I guess I was getting my hopes up... thats one thing I admit I loved from LOTR was the miniatures and the bigatures
