what particular scene are you looking forward to in the Hobbit?

either from the book the Hobbit or the appendixes they are using for other scenes... OR just something your hoping they put in the films I'm not sure if the scene will make it into the film but I found this quote from Dain Ironfoot II spoken to Thrain after beheading Azog outside Moria. Granted it would be a flashback scene but I think it would be a powerful scene and say so much to fans... I just think it would make cool dialogue to be in the film and a great way to tie in the Belrog from FOTR also... “You are the father of our Folk, and we have bled for you, and will again. But we will not enter Khazad-dum. You will not enter Khazad-dum. Only I have looked through the shadow of the Gate. Beyond the shadow it waits for you still: Durin’s Bane. The world must change and some other power than ours must come before Durin’s Folk walk again in Moria.” Just a scene like that would give me goosebumps to see...

and I too hope that it is included. I don't think we should see the Balrog (although it would be awesome) but a hint or warning like this would be nice. As for me...I'm most looking forward to seeing Bilbo entering Smaug's chamber for the first time

(But take a look at stanza 5, interlude and stanza 6 here first http://www.metrolyrics.com/beer-barrel-polka-roll-out-the-barrel-lyrics-the-andrews-sisters.html ) Roll out the barrel, while Elves have a barrel of fun! ;) Roll out the barrel, Hobbit and Dwarves on the run! Zing boom Taurielarrel, snoozing from too much good cheer, Now's the time to roll the barrel(s), with the Dwarves all here! Tra-la-lally, tra-la-la-la Tra-la-lally, tra-la-la-la Then they hear a rumble 'neath the floor-or-or-or What a big surprise they have in store! Keys are missing, so's the ring(s) 'Bring those elf-guards, make 'em sing!" OOOooohh, Roll out the barrel . . .

In the Goblin mines. That was a great scene in the animated version, and there's a great many ways you could portray that. I suppose the dwarves up on the wall as well, because there's so much stirring emotion during that coupled with the fact that it's such a claustrophobic space.

Cate Blanchett and Christopher Lee in the same scene will be intense, even if through the "wizardry" of cinema. And yes, I'm definitely anticipating the scenes with Dain, and also with Dain and Thorin together (perhaps during Azanulbizar or at Erebor; although they were in different parts of the battles in both instances). And any a chance for the dwarves to prove their grim, battle-tested bona fides...

Battle of the Five Armies. It has the potential to out-do both Helm's Deep and the Siege of Gondor! This is the scene (or scenes...) I'll be most looking forward to!

I'm glad one of the video blogs showed Bilbo above the tree-tops - does suggest that this scene will make it in (unless it gets cut....) It's one of those little details that could be easily removed. But I always remember this part of the book vividly!

I'm looking forward to the first scene in the film, because at that moment I will be most likely to be excited and happy to see the film, and least likely to be disappointed in any way.

Seeing Tauriel in battle. She looks a little like Sophitia from the video game Soul Calibur IV, I hope she has similar special moves. Not really. Off the top of my head, a few possible highlights: 1 - anything to do with Azanulbizar... but if done nicely, especially the moment where Thorin grabs a big oak branch to defend himself - this could please both the Michael Bay target market & purists alike. 2 - the 'good morning' exchange between Gandalf & Bilbo. 3 - anything to do with Dol Guldur, the Necromancer, & his cronies. 4 - Smaug trashing Laketown. 5 - Dain's army marching to battle & speaking to Bard for the first time "in the polite and rather old-fashioned language of such occasions".

Gonna be gorgeous!
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

- Anything Azanulbizar. - Anything Dáin Ironfoot. - Drunk elves (there's just so much potential for humor there). - Thorin and Company exploring the Lonely Mountain while Smaug is "not at home". I visualize a scene similar to when Gandalf lights up his staff in the Twenty-First Hall, the lighting of a torch revealing the full grandour of the halls under the mountain. - Thorin and Company emerging from the Lonely Mountain, fully decked out in armor, charging into battle... - ...followed by Thorin's fall and Fíli and Kíli's valiant last stands. - Thorin's funeral. Yes, it will be sad, but also an extremely memorable scene.

There's many nice moments in the book and it is difficult for me to choose a particular one that I prefer more than others but the whole Orc's tunnels moment under the Misty Mountains moment when Gandalf kills the Chief Orc so far as the finding of the Ring and the riddle game with Gollum and Bilbo's escape. Beorn' house, Thranduil cavern, Smaug and the Lonely Mountain. These are moments I enjoy very much in the book I hope it'll be good in the films.

I really hope to see the very first attack Smaug does against the Lonely Mountain, the scattering of the dwarves, the burning of Dale and a shot of a very young Thorin seeing a faint outline of Smaug flying around laying everything to waste just before being joined by his father and grandfather. I wouldn't mind it if Balin was there too. The scene of a transforming Beorn. Though none exists in the book, it would certainly be cool to see a giant man transform into an even bigger bear and then attack and interrogate the warg riding orc. Elrond revealing the runes on the elf blades and deciphering Thorin's map. Gloin and Oin going at it after failing to start a fire.
