Forgetaboutit. Unless we get a a march madness meyhem storm this winter is o-v-e-r.. Thank you very much:) Sounds like the picture thing was fun. Yea, kel comes up with some good idears for sure lol. Gotta love 'er:) Did you know Doctor Seuss gave me nightmares as a kid? I guess it all seemed quite odd at the time lol Have a 'more' relaxing (this) weekend d:)
''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. The therapist said I need to teach my mind that bed time is for sleep, not stress, so you need to get yourself into a very relaxed state physically. So before I go to bed, I have to go for a 30 min walk, (not a problem, the dogs can come too), have a warm milky drink, and then a very hot bath with lavender oil. Also I have a few drops of lavender oil on my pillow. I read for a bit when I get into bed, but after the bath I'm so sleepy I can't read for long! I should only have to do this for a couple of weeks to help myself get back into the habit of sleeping. Seems to be helping so far!

I wish our library was celebrating like that! I wonder what character I'd dress up as? hmmmm... My favourite Dr.Suess story is Horton Hear A Who. It was my very first book that I got just for me... so I'm very attached to the neat elephant :) Glad you're not shovelling snow like you were this time last year! It's been an awesome winter! Have your kids got any plans for Spring Break? Our area is looking forward to parking wherever we want once the students are gone ;) Cheers, m'dear!
I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.

Well, Mr. Eruvande just got off federal jury duty. Somebody was suing a local *major* computer company, and the company was counter suing. Although it puts Mr. Eruvande in a bind to miss so much work, the trial actually was in his field of expertise, so it was like attending a seminar. After spending all day in the court room, he'd rush home to put the final touches on the Little Eruvandes' Pinewood Derby cars. The race is tomorrow and everything has to be just right. I'm not sure who gets more into the race, the dads or the sons. Little Eruvande's car is a bullet, and The Little Goblin's car is a WW II destroyer, complete with guns. The kids picked what they wanted their cars to be, hence all the weapons-related stuff. As for me, I had my implanted defibrillator replaced a couple weeks ago, which went well. The worst part of the past month or so is my allergies, though. It hits me in the sinuses, of course, but also makes me have an itchy face and body aches. So I've had a major case of the blahs and the blehs. I'm also working on my Cub Scout den's career arrows. The kids are about to cross over to Boy Scouts, and at the end of their Cub Scout career, they get a real arrow painted with strips signifying their achievements in Cub Scouts. Some of the boys have done a lot of stuff and it takes up the entire arrow. They look great, if I do say so myself. Later in the month, we'll have a special ceremony to present the arrows and make the kids full-fledged Boy Scouts. Then, next year I get to start all over in Cub Scouts with The Little Goblin. I'll help myself to a big glass of iced tea to celebrate our fantastic weather this week. It has gotten up into the 80s! And we even got a little rain! I hope to work in the garden this weekend. Happy Texas Independence Day!

I'm sticking close to home and keeping everyone at bay so I can get some fun busy work done! A mouse in the house! That's happened 3 times this winter in my home after several years of nothing (that I know of ;). They really can get things in an uproar! What I love is that my one cat (Monkey) likes to catch the mouse, but she doesn't do anything destructive right away. She carries the poor thing around in her mouth... head in, butt & tail hanging out like a cigar... and she does that cat-challenging rumble howl as she walks around. I can just imagine what it's like for that little rodent kicking like crazy! So I get my big empty can and grab Monkey by the scruff of the neck, shove her head into the can (plenty of room) and shake until she drops the mouse. Then I carry it outside into the field and let it go. I know... I know... weird and what? But I just can't let the drama and death continue. *shakes wimpy head* I hope you have a fantastic weekend :)

but it was discovered when she was a baby. She has loose ligaments and it caused her hips to pop out of place. She started in a soft Pavlik harness and when she got bigger, she had to wear a "Rhino Cruiser" which is a hard plastic "diaper"-looking thing, to keep her legs in a "frog" position and allow the ligaments to tighten up. She's totally fine now at age 13. My sister in law asked the dr. if by being ligamentally loose, she would be good at gymnastics, and he said, no more than any other person. Ah, Olympic hopes dashed right there! Hope all goes well for your little niece, and have a wonderful time at the party.

And to have this in time for the wedding and very high-profile weekend is doubly great! You've worked so hard for this... which is the most gratifying. You've earned every single bone and curve :) Well done, m'dear... so well done! I'm sorry for the worry, though, for your niece. Hopefully it's just a funny gait that can be easily corrected. I used to babysit for a little girl that wore a brace on her legs/feet each night, and it straightened her right out. Have fun this weekend! I'm glad the craziness is done and that you can enjoy the celebration :)
