I swear I remember reading Brophy was doing stunts I want to say in LOTR as well but yeah the stunt guys never get enough props

Great to see their faces, doubles are usually very underrated even though they risk their lives just for our entertainment. Hopefully nothing too bad will happen to them during the shootings.

I would say that the Studios would forbid Brophy doing any of the more dangerous stunts - they wouldn't want production to stop if anything 'untoward' happened.

he was many orcs and did do stunts so it wouldn't be so far fetched that he was doing his own stunts in the Hobbit.... i only figured since he did them in LOTR he would the hobbit as well I stand corrected.  I guess he is major cast but hell Tom Cruise does his own stunts now LOL

he did just do all that hanging off a skyscraper 25 stories up on the side of the glass building with nothing but a safety harness for MI: Ghost protocol. just watched a behind the scenes video from the cast and crew about it. Cruise actually insisted about doing 90 percent of his own stunts in the film
