Everyone I've seen seems to be spot on, which makes me excited to see this (although I did picture Lee Scoresby as a bit younger, but that's probably just me). I'm happy they went with an unknown for Lyra - I hope the actress does a good job!
I loved The Golden Compass, but didn't especially like aspects of the last book in the series, so I'm hoping I might enjoy the movies more.

Excellent casting, too ... especially Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Coulter. She's almost exactly as I imagined her!

in some parts of the country till recently. I've always had electric heat or else natural gas pumped to me from far away. Come to think of it, maybe they could do that with chocolate, too. I'd like that.

I wasn't able to get into the book on the written page and will not bother trying again.
I know this is silly, but about 3% of me hopes this "NEW FANTASY SERIES" from New Line Cinema struggles at the box office. The rest of me hopes it is a great movie, a great fantasy movie, and that I will enjoy it.
I have noticed not many people use colors on the board yet. Stay warm!
