Yes, I remember [In reply to] Can't Post

That was when they made the spotlight add-on part of the deal, and well worth every penny.

I know you were not joking and I share your impression [In reply to] Can't Post

but my quirky mind jumped to a Road Runner cartoon. To bad Tex Avery never did The Hobbit.

I'm pretty sure we'll see Annatar. [In reply to] Can't Post

It's a concept PJ seemed to really regret cutting from LOTR so he'll probably want to bring it back. We'll also see him as he appeared in Fellowship so people REALLY get the point. He'll remove his helm to display a fair face with two fiery eyes. He has a voice this time round, so they'll probably have a chat before he flees.

I also see Barrow-wight type creatures as likely because they were cut from Fellowship and Sauron was likely to have used wights of some sort (unless his name simply refers to him coming back from the dead). Khamúl the ringwraith is almost certain too.

From tolkiengateway.net...

As speculation, it seems more likely that there was no direct confrontation between Sauron and the Istari, as their mandate was to avoid these types of direct confrontations with The Enemy, and they were not to openly use their power as Maia. So, it is more likely that the Assault upon Dol Guldur was by force of arms involving the armies of the Southern Kingdoms: Primarily Gondor, but likely Rohan would have played a role as well due to its proximity to Dol Guldur.

I am willing to bet my feathers that Anatar will not show up in the Hobbit. [In reply to] Can't Post

What exactly would be the point?

A way to incorporate Annatar and the canonical (burning, black skin) Sauron [In reply to] Can't Post

Perhaps the Necromancer uses fresh corpses, say one with Benedict Cumberbatch's resemblance, and they gradually burn up as he uses up his powers.

I agree with some posts here....with a few changes [In reply to] Can't Post

1. Gandalf searchs Dol Guldur just the before the Hobbit, Finds Thrain and the Map and doorkey. So this why he Finds the Dwarves in Bree, setting up the Unexpected Party. (short Flashback)

2. Gandalf's many powers were on display, often in the Movies.
a. His Kinda Glowing sheildBALL that the Balrog sword could't Break through.
b. His Beacon coming from his Staff sending away the Nazgul to allow the retreating Troops to return to Minas Tirith.
c. Casting out Saruman in Theodan, with his staff and just some Finger pointing.
d. Surviving the Ball of Fire sent down from Orthanc
e. Breaking Sarumans Staff.
f. Waving off with 3 fingers ( very small gesture in ROTK....the Despair of Aragorn, a Sauron spell? that it looked like the Mouth of Saruon had put on them at the Black Gate), allowing Aragorn to Rally the Troops.
g. Speaking the Black speech at the Council changed the Weather?
h.His Transmation From Saruman into Gandalf the White in Fangorn, setting Aragorn's sword too hot to handle?

3. I want it to Be Gman, Galadriel, Saruman, Elrond, and maybe even his sons meeting At Radagasts retreat near DG...then they do descide to combine their variety of Specialzed Powers and Crumble DG to the Ground, and all we get is a Hallunicatory Shape shooting into the Sky like a Tornado and off he goes to Mordor. Along with his NINE in tow!
