Cate Blanchett hasn't seen a script and doesn't know when she'll start filming?

Not sure how old this interview is, but it looks recent. http://collider.com/...zz-the-hobbit/82329/

I guess that's on par with Ian Holm not knowing...

...and perhaps why there has been no Hugo Weaving announcement either. Noboby knows. I think it's amusing that Cate signed up without even knowing when or what she'll have to do.

she may be present at the White Council, and possibly show up at Dol Guldur for battle, but may be unlikely. I think Elrond is more likely to show up to help Gandalf at Dol Guldur.

We get to see Elrond's sons and Glorfindel this time around. Not sure how I feel about Elrond and Galadriel taking part in the actual seige.

me too... I really dont see why Glorfindel wasnt included in LOTR... I realise they gave his entire scene to Arwen to give her more weight & involvement in the story, but if they changed it that much already, they could easily have had both Glorfindel and Arwen in that scene to save Frodo & overtake the Ringwraiths. Whats the harm in adding one more character...one that shouldve been there in the first place. Also...why werent Elladan & Elrohir at Rivendell in LOTR...just busy scouting I suppose. If Elronds two sons didnt appear, then that can easily bring about just cause for Legolas not being at present in Mirkwood at Thranduils side... jus sayin.

Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible; and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing the evidently prefer. "A common and boring artifact, unlike myself." -Solembum

You'd go so far to say that he should've been there aswell as Arwen? Why do people think he was so important?

But they mistake that for being the same thing as important, which he isn't. At least not to the story of the Lord of the Rings.

She signed so that is the important for now. I would rest if Hugo Weaving had signed the papers by now but I think since their roles are not the most significant and Peter is probably starting filming the Dwarves&Bilbo stuff maybe they can come a little later in the spring...

...was born from their part in a critically acclaimed film released in 1999. Elladan and Elrohir went on to star in a second spin-off slash sequel, although Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day wasn't nearly as successful as the original. By the way, the sword they reforged was wicked sharp.

My hope was that they would film his scenes ASAP, in London, but I wonder if they told him, "Chris....if you can make to NZ in June come on down...."

Did he do anything important or noteworthy? Is he an interesting character? I can barely even remember him. Gildor is a waste of space – more famous for his muddled ancestry than anything else. Glorfindel, Tom Bombadil and the Sons of Elrond are far more intriguing. I would be glad to see them in some form.
