have not only endorsed and proven their faith in NZ, but they've gone a step further with this: "The Government and Warners Brothers have agreed to work together in a long-term strategic partnership to market New Zealand as a place to make movies." I think WB is proving to be a company with a heart and arent' afraid to be more than a place that just does the business... they're completely boggling me in all of this. I'm so impressed.
I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Kangi Ska Resident Trickster New Zealand is as close to Middle-earth as you can get. At night you can not tell if crows are black or white.

We were rooting for NZ as the country to house the Hobbit.. so they can get the 500 million... But the whole world-economy has probably lost about 500 million with people not working and refreshing TORn.. and drinking punch, cider and beer

Up to the last minute I was really worried but in the end we got the best result we could have hoped for.
Well done to all sides who worked to get the situation back to where it should be. Now let's hear Ian McKellen confirmed as Gandalf and I'll be even more pleased!

Just to think that a month ago we didn't have green light, we didn't know whether PJ was going to direct or Freeman be able to fit it in his schedule or where it would be filmed. And now we have all the right pieces together and it looks perfect! :) (Well I could grumble on about the 3D and how I fear WB's marketing will look cheap but hey, this is a day for celebration and if I've learned anything during these years as a fan, it's to trust Peter.)
