TORnsibs gather at a Minne-moot : a good time was had by all

Minnesota sibs, Radhuin, Zmulady, and meself met up at the homely* house of Hobbit Love, Ordinary Hobbit and Love Horses for a Minne-moot. Joining us was HL & OL's son-in-law... a non-sib but amiable fellow, nonetheless. As with any fellowship that Ordinary Hobbit is involved in, we had so much food the table was full. Cheese, homemade bread and soup (mushroom wild rice), Ordinary Hobbit's most excellent apple salsa, scones and cranberry chutney were just some items on the menu. Words cannot express how much fun it is to chat with this group. I had a spectacular time. We reminisced a little about RCMH and I did my best to convince Zmulady she *had* to be there for ROTK Live. Here's the obligatory moot photo (taken by the amiable fellow):
I'm in back. Hobbit Love and Ordinary Hobbit are in the middle tier and Love Horses is flanked by Zmulady and Radhuin. *homely, of course, in the manner of 'the Last Homely House': having a feeling of home; cozy and comfortable

Wonderful! Next time, I'm coming! Now this is bringing back fond memories of that fantastic breakfast that geeky son and I had with the silneldors and Hobbit Love, Ordinary Hobbit, and Loves Horses in NYC - and their wondering about some of those strange items on the menu. (And later being able to see Loves Horses in her gorgeous elven-gown!) Hey, when can we all do that again? (Yes, Zmulady, you've got to be there!)

It really was a singular way to spend a Saturday afternoon! It was so nice to see Hobbitlove and OrdinaryHobbit, Magpie and Love Horses again, and to finally meet our fellow Minnesota 'sib Zmulady. For some reason it always surprises me how comfortable I am with these lovely people. I know that we come from different backgrounds, and no doubt have differing views regarding many things, yet we sit around a table full of wonderful food and chat like we've known each other for years. Saturday's moot seemed like a reunion of good friends that I haven't seen in years! And the food! And more food! I love hummus, as was evident by the bowl always ending up in front of me. :) And the ginger scones. Mmmmm. There was so much food that I didn't even get to try much of it. Luckily I was sent home with Harry's wild rice soup and bread bowls which I had for dinner tonight. Yum! And Magpie, that cranberry chutney is delightful! Such fascinating flavors. I didn't get a chance to taste it at the moot, but knew I had a lovely mug of it to bring home. Thank you for the gift!

Good conversation and food, and plenty of both. Our hosts really outdid themselves. I will treasure this moot memory for a long time. Magpie doesn't have to talk me into anything, I am really hoping to get to ROTK Live. After hearing about FOTR, I must go. She had lovely things to say about it, and I can't wait!

Lovely post, Magpie. It is a true pleasure to spend time with such wonderful people. We would do it every day if we could. We feel so blessed to know each of you, dear sibs. Work and the holiday kept me off the boards so I'm sorry I didn't respond to this nice post right away, but, though delayed, our thanks are no less sincere. A hundred {{hugs}} for coming to our house and giving us such true pleasure in your fellowship; not to mention a lovely book (Thanks, Radhruin), a pumpkin pie and cheese (Thanks, Zmulady), and a new favorite: brie and cranberry chutney (Thanks, Magpie). With love, hob and ohob and LH PS: Not a bad picture

the food sounds WONDERFUL!! Homemade bread, apple salsa, cranberry chutney....wow. Yum. I want to visit!
Anyway, it looks like yall had a great time!! I'm trying to see the games in the background....I can make out Apples to Apples and Sorry, but that's it. (ha, sorry, I get distracted by background things like that...it's be worse if I were able to discern any of the books on that bookshelf). In any case, looks like a great group. You are lucky you all live so close to each other! Looks very fun. Thanks for sharing!!

It was like just before the sun goes to bed down on the bayou. There was always a million sparkles on the water... like that mountain lake. It was so clear, Jenny, it looked like there were two skies one on top of the other. And then in the desert, when the sun comes up, I couldn't tell where heaven stopped and the earth began. It was so beautiful." -Forrest Gump

You are giving me hobbit hunger OH. It is a delight that you all could partake in good company and good food. May we all, ever be apart of each others lives. OH, will you please pass down a bit of that cranberry chutney?
''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III May the grace of Manwë let us soar with eagle's wings!
In the air, among the clouds in the sky Here is where the birds of Manwe fly Looking at the land, and the water that flows The true beauty of earth shows With the stars of Varda lighting my way In all the realms this is where I stay In the realm of Manwë Súlimo
