Israeli model Nina Brosh. She has that fantasy look to her... (Oversized image removed. Remember that if you can't resize an image to TORN's guidelines you can always save it to a photo imaging site and link to it there - Ataahua.)

definitely Eowyn. The youth, the beauty, the hair-color, just perfect. Exactly how I imagined her because that`s what she is like in the books.

but I still don`t see Galadiel in the artwork or in Nina. Eowyn, absolutely. Not Galdriel, because both the artwork and Nina are very child-like. I know that Elves are supposed to look youthful but the girl on the artwork is obviously a teenager, not a wise Elf who looks super-young. Maybe Galadriel when she was young girl at the Valinor who refused to give a piece of her hair to Feanor, who wanted to use it for... I forgot what, some jewlery work I guess. But I don`t see Galadriel of LOTR years. Maybe it`s because I like Cate in the role and absolutely dispise Otto as Eowyn that I see Eowyn in Nina but can`t help it. Great find, though.

Glad I’m not the only one who absolutely hate the fact that Otto got the part of Eowyn. I just don’t think Otto is pretty enough to portray eowyn. about Galadriel, well it could be Galadriel at her youth, that’s a possibility.

when she defied Feanor, before she made a critical mistake of marrying that weakling what`s-his-face Mr Galadriel. No wonder she flirted with Gimli. I don`t know what they were thinking when they (mis)cast Otto but they didn`t do her any favors since her career failed to take off after LOTR. I guess people who give actors jobs (directors, producers, casting agents) either hated her performance or didn`t notice her existance. Serves her right. Awful, awful choice.

Nina is a lovely gal, and would do either role well. But then...

I loved Miranda Otto! She had just that right amount of beauty and restless rebellion IMHO.

I also read somewhere that Miranda Otta preferred to do small films in her home country, with the occasional Hollywood film, rather than make a name for herself.I thought she was perfect as Eowyn.

to prefer to do small movies, one needs to be offered big ones (big as in Oscar bait-like importance or blockbuster) and refuse them. And Otto did not get any big roles so all the talk about preference for small Aussie movies is sour grapes. What she was offered in US were some really crappy TV series and she had no problem taking those roles. Like in Cashmere Mafia, dubbed the worst new show of 2008. It got cancelled after, like, 5 episodes or so.Plain and simple, industry people were not impressed. At all. BTW, having seen behind the scene footage of new Robin Hood movie, where Cate is playing Maid Marien, I can tell you that she would`ve made much better Eowyn, one that doesn`t look like teethering between constipation and diarea, but has personality.

You still seem vey bitter about the casting of Miranda Otto.If you didn't like the performance then speak about that and not attack the actress personally.US TV is a very, very competitive arena and TV shows are made and fail all the time.I wouldn't put the failure of Cashmere Mafia solely down to Otto's performance but you seem to hold her personally responsible, which is bizarre. I'm looking forward to seeing Cate play Maid Marian but she may yet stink so I'll withold my judgment until I see it.

So is actress Ayelet Zurer and most Hollywood beauties are of Jewish descent too. Liv Tyler, Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman (also has Israeli father), Kat Dennings, Evan Rachel Wood, just to mention few on top of my head.
