It's great to see some action on the ground!
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. I think it was around 98 that spy reports were coming in about LOTR, and I found TORn and about ten people at work would all gather around a computer during...ah...."breaks"..... its giving me goose bumps knowing Hobbiton is being rebuilt....I've wanted to visit NZ for a long time....if I could see Hobbiton in full glory I'd freak....take off my shoes....take a smoke of Old Toby...eat some cheese and drink some ale, and....then they'd kick me off the set! lol

Can't wait until the fine detail returns. Still much work to do, but it looks great so far.

Love these updates - hobbiton to me is the coolest set. Would love to know what the longer term plans are once the set is 'rebuilt' and after the shooting.

Hobbiton is beginning to awaken from its long sleep... and I hope this time it doesn't drift off ever again! OMG! This is monumental!!! Springtime in the Shire!

Phooey, that made me sad (vegetarian and PETA member here) . . . At least it seems like these guys have a nice life, while it lasts. Hmmm, I wonder if their wool might be used for costumes too? It is pretty cool (and environmentally sound) if they're getting a lot of the raw materials for the whole production locally.

is giving me more enthusiasm than I've been able to drum up so far. Of course, I always get more in the mood for things Middle-earth as Fall and Sept. 22nd approach.

That is sooo cool! Thank you so much. I love to see that thinkgs are moving along. It makes my heart skip a beat!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Aragorn threw back his cloak. The elven-sheath glittered as he grasped it, and the bright blade of Andúril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. “Elendil!” he cried. “I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dúnadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil’s son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!” TTT, Book III, Chapter 2 And Éomer answered: “Since the day when you rose before me out of the green grass of the downs I have loved you, and that love shall not fail.” RotK, Book VI, Chapter 5
