I had reserved one when they first became available, but my husband and I won't be going this year. I think the hotel lets you transfer the reservation to someone else, or at least I could try asking if someone wants. Otherwise I'll just be canceling it.
It's at the Marriott:
Check-in date: Thursday, September 3, 2009
Check-out date: Tuesday, September 8, 2009
Dragon*Con rate, $170/night.

I didn't know about that LiveJournal community, or that the Marriott puts it back at the regular rate (hrmph!).
I guess I'll wait a couple of days and see if any TORnsib wants it, otherwise I'll take a closer look at that LiveJournal or pass the rooms on to you. Thanks!

Trader Vic's (which is located below the Hilton) has Mai Tai Thursdays ($4.50 all night), as well as a really cool Tiki band from 8 to midnight - might be a fun place for an informal Moot, as well as the one night we might all get to see each other before DragonCon Madness begins. I know i'd love to see L. Ron in the conga line.

Once you have the reservation number you can easily transfer ownership, credit cards and names and in fact, if nobody else does, I will take it off your hands and and keep it for a needy soul until the last minute. I hate to think of any room being released, so please don't do that!

I'll see if I can make it. We're staying at the Westin Thursday night, and then moving to the Hilton Friday. We're going to the GA Aquarium Thursday morning, and I'm really excited about it.

And, for those going, I won't make a new post about it, but post it here.
On Saturday night at 830 pm in the Tolkien Track room, there will be a Long-Expected Party Reunion Panel/meet and greet/ Q & A session with the organizers.
Going to talk about the inspiration for holding the event in the first place, and might even have a surprise or two.

The Regency ballrooms in the Hyatt are on the same floor as Evening at Bree ( Centennial and the location of your first go-round with the Hobbit panel). Coming down the escalators from the lobby, instead of cutting left to go to Centennial, you cut to the right. The Regency ballrooms are over in the right hand corner.
If you come in from the back steps, coming from the Marriott and up the steps into the Hyatt, just turn immediately to the left upon entering the doors.
