Arda Reconstructed finally "In Stock" at Amazon Can't Post

I'm happy to report that Amazon is finally showing it as "In Stock" (even though they have been shipping it off and on for more than a month). They are also discounting it 28%, so for any of you who were waiting until it was immediately available for a (relatively) good price, now might be a good time to order it.

Good! [In reply to] Can't Post

Though not in Germany, here it's still 'not in stock'. But I don't believe them EvilTongue

With good reason! [In reply to] Can't Post

I doubt it will stay in stock very long. Amazon.co.uk had listed as available for all of two days before changing it to "temporarily out of stock." I guess I should take it as a sign that demand has been greater than expected, but it's still frustrating.

I don't know how many copies were printed in the first place, but it seems not enough Wink

But believe me, you're in very good company. I remember the times when Harry Potter became popular - the German publisher was not able to deliver all the copies the shops had ordered. They were working through a long waiting list, sending finished copies to the ones at the top of the list, while they added new orders below ... Ok, it was on a much larger scale, but it seems to be the same problem Smile

I just heard on Book TV that publishers are very reluctant to print too many [In reply to] Can't Post

copies these days, so they routinely print too few.

Understandable [In reply to] Can't Post

I know that they often had to take many copies back that didn't get sold, so now with the economy as it is, they might be more reluctant to risk that. But of course, for the customer it's a bit annoying.
