Hmmmm if victory were to be gained by weaponry skills, I'd say Eowyn. But other than that, I'd give it to Galadriel. Unfortunately, I can't see how Rosie would win! Unless one of the other ladies mentioned how handsome they found Samwise. Now that would really tick her off! Then, she could be a serious contender!

Queen Galadriel, of course, none of the others have potent magical powers at their disposal. Arwen might stand a chance if the arena were near Rivendell...but not much, admittedly. Rosie Cotton would go down first by the shield of Lady Eowyn, who in turn would be smoten by a tornado, summoned to the field by the Storm Queen. Arwen would then unsheath Hadhafang and begin chanting "Nin o chitaeglir, lasto beth daer: rimmonin Bruinen dan in ulaer!", in vain, there's no river to protect you this time! Galadriel then strikes her with lightning, setting her aflame. She runs around screaming for Aragorn before, smoking, she falls to the ground, dead. No offence, Arwen's daughter!
"The city of Osgiliath has been reclaimed, FOR GONDOR!"

I say Galadreil, she was kind of metally looking during a scene in the Two Towers.

It's not even close.
We're discussing the BBC Lord of the Rings Radio Play on the Movie Discussion - LOTR board. With caffeine, all things are possible. The pity of Bilbo will screw up the fate of many.

Maybe they'll decide to forego the chick fight and start the Middle-earth chapter of Code Pink.

It's for sure Rosie would be the first one out.

Would Arwen fight her grandmother? Don't think so. And vice versa. That leaves Eowyn winning by default.

Eowyn once again uses a hobbit as a diversion, and takes down that prissy, pampered, Elf bimbo. Gramma Gladdy? Stands back and watches the pale shadow of Luthien get the arse-whupping she should've had years earlier when it might've done her more good and improved her character. When the dust settles in Arwen's face, Gladdy congratulates Eowyn for fighting like a blonde---and repairing the public image and reputation of blonde women everywhere---and offers her Mirror for a quick little fix-up before dinner. ...Now, how ol' Gladdy managed to command Faramir to appear in the Mirror like that is anybody's guess. ;)

So she could hold her own. But Galadriel has too much magic to be denied.

She just looks like a women that you shouldn’t mess with, without automatic weapons.
May your beer be laid under an enchantment of surpassing excellence for seven years! ~~~~~~~~Gandalf~~~~~~~ Listen. Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!

Going by the movies, Arwen because she`s cunning, dirty player. I mean, look what she did to poor Nazgul. Just as they thought she was foolish enough to fight them ("if you want him, come and claim him...look,I`m a skinny chick with a sword, you affraid of me? Chickens!"), she pulls an Imhotep on them when they were half way into the water. All part of a devious plan. And look how she played her dad! "Oh,daddy, if you send troops to Helms Deep and bring the sword of Isildur to my bf, I`m so totally going away to the West....oh,by,the way, there will be a baby boy...well,he doesn`t have to be out of wedlock, you know...and, oh,I`m so sick to travel again, aaaah,I`m fainting...". Seriously, this girl is just too much! She deceives everyone intentionally. Eowyn didn`t decieve the Wiki by intetion,it just happened that she was in the disguise and that he was one of those dumb villains going "Now I`m going to tell you how you can defeat me...by disclosing my weak spot". "Gee, thanks, bro!" Also, Galadriel may be powerful but she is good at resisting temptation to do a bad thing and, like I said before, Arwen is a dirty player. Rosie...if any of the stronger ones slip on a banana peel...yeah, underdog wins. realistically speaking, Galadriel hands down because she can see future, read minds...she wouldn`t let those enemies come close to her. She would Storm them away or something. She doesn`t seem to be one of those testing prophecies like Voldemort, you know, going after the one propheciesed to finish you off. keepting them away would do the trick.

Galadrial was the most powerful of the Elder except perhaps for Feanor. It would be no contest.
