First 'Hobbit' themed Shirt - Lake Town Fire Department Can't Post

Lake Town Volunteer Fire DepartmentWe reported earlier this week that we would be featuring a brand new TORn and Weta t-shirt at Comic-Con. [Comic-Con Shirt] It should be noted however, that the Comic-Con shirt was not the only design TORn has been working on the last few months. So without further delay, we are proud to premiere our 'Lake Town Volunteer Fire Department' shirt! The shirt, pictured on the right, is deep red with the TORn logo on the front and the LTFD logo on the back. We only have a limited amount of these shirts printed at this time, so if the demand is there, we will print another run in various sizes and styles. In fact, if you want a specific style, please email me directly at calisuri@theonering.net and I will keep a running list. While I wont' be able to reply to all emails, I will keep them handy when deciding on our next printing. In the meantime, check out our latest shirt! Both shirts, the earlier one and the LTFD.....please let me know if I can get hold of these without going to Comic Con, as I won't be able to make it there!!!

Yes [In reply to] Can't Post

The Lake Town shirt is NOT available at Comic-Con. It is only available for pre-order. The Comic-Con shirt is only available at CCon, the Lake Town shirt is available until is sells out and if it sells well enough, TORn will make more.

Buying such a shirt supports TORn as well, that is worth at least mentioning.

I have no choice but to believe in free will.

Size? [In reply to] Can't Post

Great! But ... um ... could someone give me a vague hint about the width/length of the sizes listed on the page? In my experience, American sizes don't necessarily match the same sizes in Germany. e.g. 23 can be 46 here - and I am not too sure about S, L, XL etc.

And then there's the matter of ... [In reply to] Can't Post

gender.
In cases like this, the shirt itself is usually designed and sized for Men...and since a size 'Small' will sometimes still swamp me, I also look for the largest t-shirt available in the Boys'/Youth section.
Another way to tell? Small logo on the front + big design on the back = something that no woman with long hair not kept tightly restricted in a bun or hair clip would ever create without offering an alternative for the flamboyant femmes among us. So much for the great "femine" conspiracy! ;)

Not necessarily accurate by style, of course, but a general guideline.

Laketown UT [In reply to] Can't Post

We spend time each summer and in the fall at Bear Lake, a beautiful lake in northern Utah, that is a natural freshwater lake and has a unique turquoise-blue color, from the suspended limestone in the lake. Anyway, the reason I mention it is on the southern part of the lake is a town called Laketown (here is a picture of some of the ponds around Laketown and the farms). Laketown is a small town of about 200 people but they do have a Fire District (being so close to Bear Lake and the vacation spots and campsites that are next to the lake). I may just have to order a couple and when we go up in a couple of weeks, stop by and see what they think, and explain the meaning to them out of The Hobbit.

BTW, the lake is a long lake as you can see from this map and it has a beautiful look as you fly over it when flying into the Salt Lake City Intl. Airport from back east. The shirts look great btw.

The link truly helps!

Until some years ago, I was getting particularly my jeans in the youth's section as well. It was the only place where I got some *not* much too long! But now they seem to have realised that there exist women who are considerably smaller than 6' (I'm 5'3), and I find usually something in the women's section. Some people are able to learn Wink

As for size [In reply to] Can't Post

Eowyn of Penn's Woods was so kind to give me a link to a site with US-sizes and their measures: http://en.wikipedia.org/...andard_clothing_size after I asked for help because I was not sure what size S, M etc. in USA exactly are, either. There you can find out the right size for you; I think it is much more reliable that way.

Well, right now we have S-XXL which covers pretty much everyone.

We hope to sell enough of these shirts to be able to make another batch of women styles and sizes - but right now that isn't looking too promising! :P

Ideas for future t-shirts? [In reply to] Can't Post

Nice witty design on the Lake Town t-shirt. Can you think of any other design ideas?

My attempts:

"I went There and Back Again, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"

"Thorin & Co.- seeking the enchanted gold since 2770"

"Wilderland Adventure Tours: you'll wish you never left your hobbit hole"
