Batman vs. Legolas Can't Post

So, will Legolas bring down the Bat with an arrow? What about hand to hand combat? Who would be best fit to fight Batman? Elves? Rangers?

I think Legolas would kill Batman if Batman took flight, but I think in hand to hand, Batman's superior moves would win, as Legolas' hand-to-hand is secondary. Don't get me wrong, maybe this would never happen, but still, I'm suggesting a fight without firearms, and mostly hand-to-hand combat.

If Batman was flying, I think Legolas would win with the arrows.

I have to disagree [In reply to] Can't Post

Batman takes down criminals with a lot more firepower than Legolas carries on a fairly regular basis. Legolas might have fantastic aim and great eyesight, but I think The Bat still has some tricks that could disable the Elf.

Let us consider... [In reply to] Can't Post

which Batman is being fought, and which Legolas is doing the fighing. Movie legolas has better moves (shreding on a shield) and 2 knives, whereas book legolas has only one knife. Batman in the films has body armor and a bunch of other cool gadgets that is somewhat lacking in the comics. So for my answer I give this comparative format.

Movie V Movie: Legolas takes a shot with his bow while Batman swings in on his trademark rope thingy. He hits the Bat, but his body armor and he falls but isn't wounded by it. This is based on the assumption that it is ballisticly rated for defence against stabbing weapons (see Batman 1). Legolas then brandishes his white knives and Batman uses his cut-guarded hands (also Batman 1) to deflect the slashes and then kicks the elf in the chin and gets enough space to pull a bat smoke bomb and hide just well enough to get behind legolas and bam, one shot to the back of Legolas' head and it's over.

Movie V Comic: Same opening but legolas lands a shot to the Bat's head, and I saved myself some typing.

Book V Movie: Legolas is running in as Batman swings in. Batman does a falling drop-kick which is avoided by Legolas who pulls his white knife. Batman who never seems to land wrong (Batman forever) is already in a fighting position and succesfully disarms the elf princling by breaking his arm. Legolas who has never experienced a broken arm (that we know of), is thrown off and ends up losing to the Dark Knight.

Book V Comic: Batman swings and Legolas shoots grazing the man in the grey tights. Batman falls but gets up and in the process throwes a hanfull throwing stars (I can't remember how to spell the right name for them). This pauses Legolas, who has pulled his knife and Batman pulls a balisong knife (I think he carries one in his utility belt in the comics, I don't know). They get into a knife fight, but legolas just isn't a match for the slighlty underhanded (in the comics he's a dark character) Batman and gets a knee to the crotch and his throat slashed.

Yes, but I'm talking Batman w/ just his ninja powers... [In reply to] Can't Post

Take away everything except Batman's sword, his metal gauntlets, and his cape and armor, and that's what I'm talking about so Batman has no unfair advantage with modern technology.

Then Legolas would win. If Batman was flying, of course.

Batman's armor can stop a knife, remember? [In reply to] Can't Post

So in hand-to-hand combat, he'd win for sure. However, from a distance, Legolas might make a good shot into the bat's mouth where he is vunerable. Tongue

Elf versus Mortal [In reply to] Can't Post

My money's on the elf. Batman has no superpowers, just superb (for a mortal) physical fitness and a lot of expensive gadgetry. With equal weapons, he'd hold out long, but it's still elf versus man.

My website http://www.dreamdeer.grailmedia.com offers fanfic, and message-boards regarding intentional community or faerie exploration.

Definitely Interesting... [In reply to] Can't Post

But I think that Legolas would beat him. It would definitely take a very long time, but eventually Legolas's elven stamina, balance, and strength would win out in the end with a knife stab through the eye or something cool like that.
