Wow. This is a surprise! I mean... when does eBay EVER let you down? ;) No, it's a sad thing to see. It sounds like he'll be visiting it at the new home; but it's not the same. All I can think is he's using the $ to build... I don't know... a zeppelin? Thanks for this. I've passed it along to my g'son and daughter. Tod will be welcome :) Though... I was waiting for the cow toss. Or a dwarf. Or an undead monkey!
We have been there and back again. TIME Google Calendar

...had a trebuchet built. Orcs painted an imperial colour and decorated it with the Eye. And then they fitted it out with a brazen horn and got it airbourne by suspending it between two fellbeasts. The purpose was to fling whole captives into Minas Tirith. Yes, it was a One Eyed, one-horned flying purple people yeeter.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville
