perhaps a little old looking? I know Bilbo is 50 but as Hobbits take longer to age than ourselves I always had the idea that he'd be more like a 35-40 year old in appearance. So an actor that's perhaps a very youthful looking 60 would be puching it a bit. It's quite tiring all this guessing! hope we get some meat soon. I'm away to get second breakfast before it's cold.
 
I was really getting tired of all the young whippersnappers them polliwogs keeps a tryin' to pawn of as Mister B. Baggins (that and three nights without sleep) soze I decided to seed the chaos. Seems the virus caught. Made my day, it did.

He is a great character actor. The original suggestion was half in jest. I gave it because I was exhausted and tired of being told that it was OK to cast Bilbo as a young hero type. I would be very surprised if the role was offered to him but I am sure he could handle it.
