Reply any ones that I didn't

-Pine Forest Orc fight (0:01)--> After escaping the goblin's gate, bilbo and the dwarves have a big fight running DOWN the mountain and into pine trees like in the vblog
-The Ruins of Dale (1:49)-->There are some wooden structures that are overrun with nature and well...its Dale
-Bilbo Looks over Mirkwood from a tree (1:53)-->There's nothing else this could be
-The Dwarves fighting around the campfire (2:40)-->It is probably the trollshaws but who knows, it could be the elves or spiders
-Bilbo's plates and cutlery all dirtied up (3:13)
-The Elvenking's wine cellar (3:14)
-The Dwarves celebrating their victory over the trolls at the campfire (3:42) -->the troll cave's entrance is clearly visible in the background
-The dwarves climbing up the lonely mountain (3:49)-->this may also be the back-door
-Elrond reading the moon letters to the dwarves (3:50)
-Gandalf scratching the dwarvish sign on Bilbo's Door (5:01)
-The dwarves having dinner with Elrond (3:13)-->Gloin is examining his cup for jewels
-The company entering Rivendell led by Gandalf (3:15)
-Thorin firing an arrow at the deer in Mirkwood (3:31)-->Bilbo just stares at the deer in disbelief
-Bilbo screaming at the spiders (5:56)-->Invisible?
-Nori finds a pouch (5:57)-->perhaps in the Trollshaws or in Mirkwood where they are looking for Thorin
-The Dwarves run away from the Spiders after being cut loose by Thorin (6:45)-->This may be a fight scene at the end of the first movie
-Dwalin coming through Bilbo's Door (7:27)-->indicates complete trueness to the book
-All other dwarves falling into Bilbo's House (8:14)
-All the dwarves coming to protect Bilbo in some elvish place with Gandalf and another elf in the background (8:22)-->Is this Rivendell, or the Elvenking?
-The first glimpse of the Hobbit Trailer (10:12)

So when will the next Production Video come out?
-On Location, probably right after the end of the Location shooting, and, WHEN IS THAT? [crazy]

PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU NOTICE ANYTHING THAT I DIDN'T! [;)]

...Gandalf be in the Woodland Realm with the dwarves? And why would the dwarves be outside? And I don;t believe that to be a glimpse of the trailer, just a quick title flash.

I wonder whether the next production video might actually be in Matamata, so already filmed but not yet edited... Be a good location to finally have a chat with Martin Freeman, would it not?

At 3:49 it looks to me like they are climbing up a skinny trail in the Misty Mountains, before being Captured by the Goblins. (This scene would have to be shot in a studio, so PJ's cameras can move all around them.) i don't think they could shoot any of that on location.

Also, One idea I had was the Red Slimmy stuff hanging from the Mirkwood trees is a "Space marker for the Digital artists to work with", as they will probably have many Smallist spiders in their webs with Insects, Birds or bugs being surrounded and eaten? These webs could be very alive. Only for a second do we see webs overhead, and then they are on the Ground....CG of our heros hanging upside down and Bilbo with Fili's help tocut them down? would fill in the space between these shots.

I agree on many points here, and am perfectly happy to wait for the next VBlog, in January, or whenever.

The pulling of Bombur back by some powerful force, to me, indicts the one of the Trolls took a swipe at him, at Trollshaws.

As to Rivendale, I do feel they make a very Scary entrance for Lord Elrond...Since the Dwarves are somewhat afraid of Elves. He might not be Pleased at ALL, until he he has explain Why to him, Dwarves "Popped up on his Doodstep". And the High Elvish (Immortal) feel could really get Ramped up here? I would love to see his sons, at least in Background.
Later...xoxoOld Guy in the Old Forest?

- Balin, Thorin, Bilbo and Gandalf with Elrond
- Fili and Kili seems to be walking on a bent tree
- Dan Hennah has sideburns of doom
- Nori still looks starfishy, but not as shocking lol
- Kili looks very much like a younger Thorin
- Bilbo's very colorful robe

...that it looks like we're going to see Thorin earning the surname "Oakenshield".

Macfeast, below are the image guidelines for the discussion boards. Feel free to resize the image and post it again within this thread:

The maximum size of any picture posted should be 525 wide x 400 pixels high (or a better measure is: 210,000 pixels squared - width x height), but no wider than 670 pixels. The maximum file size per picture should be 50k. The cumulative file size of all pictures in one post should not exceed 250k (5 pictures of the maximum filesize of 50k, 10 pictures of a filesize of 25k, etc.).

Here is the picture I had in mind, resized. Thorin and his namesake Oakenshield?

I posted another oversized picture in the vlog thread (http://newboards.theonering.net/forum/gforum/perl/gforum.cgi?post=399207#399207), feel free to remove that one as well.

Does the shield look unrefined to you, as if it hasn't been rounded off but has kept much of he natural wood at the top? Or am I just seeing a blurring from taking a still from a video?

The detail of Thorin's costume makes me want to touch it, just to feel the texturing. Hopefully when the movies are done and dusted we'll get a tour of the Hobbit costumes and props - as happened with LOTR - so we can get a close-up look at these!

At 08:36

Just after the scetch of the interiors of Beorn's Halls.

Looks very similar to JRRT's illustration of the beech forests near the Elvenking's Hall. Also very Lórienish.

Seems I missed quite a bit after a few viewings. I have to admit though, I wasn't enjoying it as much as the other vlogs when they were getting bogged down in all the 3D talk, which doesn't really interest me much...but when they showed all of that raw footage and the way that Mirkwood'll look, I started to get very, very excited again!

Cheers for the summary!

2:35 is most probably in a tent from the Hobbiton set in Matamata. Elijah in the same costume as the AICN pictures.

2:37 who else thinks Gandalf looks like the boss of a motorcycle gang.

ignoring the obviously colloquial phrase "normal flesh tone." [angelic]

Edit: Nope, don't see it. Not clearly at least.
