What an emotion-packed week this has been, for Hobbit news! Is everyone exhausted yet – or are you energized? And preparing yourself for whatever news arrives, come Monday?

In the meantime, come on in, grab your favorite libation, and raise a glass (or mug) in honor of Sir Peter, Fran, Phillapa, Sir Richard, and the multitude of fine folks in NZ who have been weathering this storm! We love you!

And congratulations to our new Bilbo, Martin Freeman, who definitely knows where his towel is! [;)] And congratulations to everyone else who has signed on to The Hobbit, and will be Making the Hobbit Happen!

With Mr. and Mrs. Altaira and Aunt Dora and some other TORn sibs I haven't met yet! Yay!

I like the looks of the Dwarves they've cast. Don't know anything about them, because I've never heard of most of them before. But I like the looks. [heart] (heh...)

I'm going home from dogsitting tonight! Yahoo! I don't mind doing it occasionally, and she's a really sweet dog, but it was a pain in the neck trying to get to work from way down south every morning. And their guest bed isn't very comfortable. I'm looking forward to my memory foam mattress at home. *sigh*

In addition to the moot, the last Colorado Rapids regular season game is tomorrow evening, then I'm having lunch with some ladies I used to work with on Sunday. And I really must catch up on my checkbook balancing at some point. Someday. I'm months behind... [crazy]

Don't know if this will work for you; it seems everyone in my family has to use something different for their allergies! [crazy]

It's the dust caused by decaying leaves, I think; I've started to smell it lately. I'd love to say I'm allergic to raking leaves...[laugh]

I get the feeling those papers were just waiting to be signed by the actors, and they were all walking around holding pens...nope, there 's no going back now. [:)]
 
Every evening there is a whole ream of Hobbit news to plough through! Here's hoping it is all resolved in the coming days...

The cold weather has arrived this week, we've had a couple of frosty mornings. I must say, I do enjoy walking Scout on crisp Autumn mornings... it's great having an excuse to get yourself out of the house in all weathers!

Not sure about plans for the weekend, I am feeling pretty exhausted, so I may take the opportunity to get some rest!

I'm also trying to figure out how to carve a pumpkin-shaped cake for a party I'm having next week... it'll be a tricky one!

This week has been emotionally exhausting for sure. Wednesday I was pooped by the end of the day, worrying about what was going to happen.

I transferred to university this fall and thus far I'm really happy with the school I'm in. The teachers are fantastic, the campus is pretty nice, though continuously under construction all over it (it was built several decades ago as a mental institution... creepy, huh? XD), and homework isn't too bad. I'm also discovering new skill sets that I did not realize I possessed when it comes to art. I have to link my painting up here when I'm done with it, I'm very happy with it... I did not know I could paint!

Anyways, gonna see Paranormal Activity 2 with a friend today, and relax during the weekend. In the meanwhile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for NZ!
 
I've been awfully congested lately, too. But I've stopped taking the allergy stuff I use over the summer because I hate to keep popping pills when it stops being so miserable.

I'm waiting for casting for Bard and Beorn!
 
As I posted in the casting announcement thread in the Hobbit board, that news was exactly what was needed to cheer us up after all the previous bad news-- and I'm absolutely thrilled that they worked out the scheduling issues with so that Martin Freeman *can* play Bilbo along with Dr. John Watson! :)

Add *that* to the fact that my friends and I enjoyed our movie day so much last Friday that we're doing another one today :) , and this is the best (non-concert) weekend I've had in quite a while!! :D

I have a feeling it's ragweed, though. I've never been tested for allergies, but we are having a bumper crop of ragweed. It blooms well here every October and every October I get sick. Bleah.

I'll just keep popping allergy pills and thinking of Richard Armitage. Shame he's going to be all covered up in dwarf gear. [laugh]
 
What a week! Back at work after 4 weeks and barely able to concentrate, always with one eye on TORn. By now I'm quite tired from that emotional rollercoaster. Was it as bad before LotR? I really hope things calm down a bit after Monday (or whenever they announce the decision, hopefully in favour of NZ) or I don't know how to survive until the release of the films!

Yeah, I'm excited about who they'll cast. I suppose they can't just blab everyone's roles just yet. We've got to have time to squee or grumble over the first batch! [laugh]
 
I can't believe how much has happened this week. I can't believe it's all finally happening!

I have to get back to work, and then I have plenty of Halloween sewing to keep me busy this weekend, but there's just so much news! How do people hold down jobs at a time like this?! [tongue]

It's starting to get cold here, so how about some apple cider with a little something extra to celebrate the news? Happy Friday, everyone. And Happy Greenlight!
 
Really, I would hate to eat one of your creations, I'd feel guilty about spoiling an artwork!

Have you tried hitching Scout to a skateboard or sled of some kind, and having him pull you for a walk? [;)]

Although I wasn't around here then, someone here said that he used to post phony stories about casting, etc., then delete posts that revealed that his post was false.
