Hello there!
You guys remember the good old Think You Know Tolkien quizzes – better know as TYKT? Thought you would :) Here’s some good news: they’re coming back to haunt you once again.
Mar and I have been working on creating a new series of TYKT and decided upon The Hobbit as the subject of the new round of quizzes. After all, we all want to be well-prepared for the films, don’t we? Luckily for you, the questions won’t be too hard, so the feeling of being prepared for the theatre should come easily.
The real quiz will start in three weeks, but for now we’ll give you a teaser so you know what to expect later on. And to give you some extra reason to read The Hobbit. Not that you need any reason, though…
For those unfamiliar with TYKT: it’s a quiz I started a long time ago, a little after the first round of SAST. Each round of quizzes is dedicated to one of Tolkien’s books. This is not done chapter by chapter – they’re are all scrambled. Makes it more fun. I still owe NZ Strider for having helped me out behind the screen then. From the second round onwards, Mar has co-hosted the quiz with me. There’ve been three rounds so far: one for each volume of the LOTR trilogy. There’s normally five questions to a quiz.

A couple of the dwarves were already pulled out, and they heard 6 others knock back. :)

I'll have to read ahead of the RR discussion - much that once was known, has become "lost"! [laugh]

1. Tricksy! Seven and fourteen; he found them over a period of time.
2. What race? The annual Tub Race, where they paddle half-barrels around the town and the last to sink, wins.
3. The Master, yess preciousss, we swears by him...
4. All the conscious Dwarves who could still talk.

Uh oh, better get out that Mediocrity bench, and hopefully there's some IEC available! [laugh]
 
I missed out on the early rounds, as did a lot of others, so it is great you are going to relaunch TYKT!
