The Return of Sauron

Hamfast Gamgee

Tol Eressea
I wonder if this might be a better title for the second film. As I do suspect that this will be the movie were most of the action in the Dol Guldor subplot takes place, which, in the movie seems to be the Return of Sauron. I also suspect that this subplot might well take precedence in this film and we won't be seeing that much of the Hobbit material at all! as I'm not sure that the company will be travelling very far in this one.

Beorn -> Mirkwood -> Spiders -> Woodelfs -> Barrels -> Laketown -> Desolation of Smaug/Dale -> Erebor -> Smaug

This is what the second film will cover of the journey of the company [:)]

I was meaning more that if the fact Sauron is going to return is supposed to be a surprise to the audience, then you shouldn't tell them what's going to happen in the title of the movie.. [laugh]

"For sixty years, the Ring lay quiet in Bilbo's keeping, prolonging his life, delaying old age. But no longer, Frodo. Evil is stirring in Mordor. The Ring has awoken. It's heard its Master's call."

"But he was destroyed. Sauron was destroyed."

"No, Frodo. The spirit of Sauron endured. His life force is bound to the Ring and the Ring survived. Sauron has returned."

Well, since we got nice theories/rumours the battle will be in the 2nd movie i will be so disappointed if it's not there now.

I hope Sauron talks with Gandalf and/or Galadriel. How cool wouldn't that be? [shocked][shocked]

closer to when the BO5A happens so that it makes it more urgent when Gandalf appears to stop The dwarfs men and elves from going to war, esp with his arm in a sling. [;)]

but I'm not holding my breath. With all that it sounds like they are doing, it's possible something that awesome will pass over in favor of something un-awesome. [:(]

The Hobbit: There and Back Again (post-production)
The Necromancer

2013 The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (post-production)
Smaug / The Necromancer

-now it could be that the necromancer takes over smaug's body after he dies in TABA which is why he's only listed as the necromancer in TABA.

That only indicates that Cumberbatch only played the Necromancer in AUJ (where Smaug was only a CJI creation) and then essayes both roles in DoS. The listing does not have any hidden meanings.

Hmm.. Interesting. Why would Gandalf want to stop the Battle of the Five Armies? To let all focus on Sauron on Dol Guldur instead? I have NOT read the hobbit book.

So awesome that you are on my side on this, Agreeing with me.

Oh... I cannot wait for 13th December. If not the Battle of Dol Guldur then let's just have Thrain lead Gandalf deep into Dol Guldur were they will meet Sauron.

This is nr.2 on my "must happen!" list! [heart]
