The Hobbit movie titles

It should stay in synch with lotr. Here are some thoughts:

The Hobbit: There and Back Again
The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies
The Hobbit: Riddles in the Dark
The Hobbit: War Before the Ring
The Hobbit: The White Council
The Hobbit: The Finding of the Ring
The Hobbit: Part 1 and Part 2

So many directions to go but hopefully close to Tolkien's vision.

"There and Back Again" – it'd be great if they found a way to include the line in the title(s) without creating a conflict with the film contents. [unimpressed]

"War Before the Ring" and "The Finding of the Ring" are impossible as the identity of the One Ring is not revealed until FOTR.

This would seem to satisfy what is being made of The Hobbit. Of course the second movie would be "Lord of the Rings II: The Quest for Boxoffice".
 
When they use Part 1 and Part 2 and that's it :)

Look for example the last Harry Potter for an example.. although those movies already have second titles so a third one could have been hilarious.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - The camping movie.

I am with you: I particularly like titles that quote Tolkien (in this case a chapter's title which is particularly nice)

Maybe they'll finally reveal titles at the press conference next week
 
..and include it on this thread. I will look myself. There and Back Again would be great for part 1 or Part2 ..maybe Riddles in the Dark for part 1...depending on when the first movie ends. Another thing to consider... The Necromancer.

All in all...There and Back Again for Part 1...and Battle of the Five Armies for part 2 seem most appropriate.

I think too much complication may confuse non book fans.

I'm guessing The Hobbit Part 1 and The Hobbit Part 2.
