Oh, and sometimes he doesn't need even references. That is, when when his imaginations fly high. Talking especially about the falling skulls in ROTK-EE. []
As for the stone-giants, I pretty much love the fact that they were included but the scene gets incredibly silly when we find out they are actually on one of the giants' knee. That's pure mumbo-jumbo. Till that, it was an awesome and breathtaking scene!!!
