I would appreciate any tips on time management in fandom. I'd like to come back, but last time it ate my life. I like it too much here!

It's great that you're back, Dreamdeer! We've missed you, and even had to celebrate your anniversary in absentia.
 
and it creates a wonder. I have always felt that what awareness we can attain, is very important in coming to know ( through fascination and the free open mind) the essence of things or at least realizing that a vast unknown is still upon us.

It is so easy to settle or exist on the 'surface tension' of the, 'usual' ; on the understandingly necessary survival mode of awareness.

I love what you express in the inter-connectedness of everything and being apart of the natural world.

In the end, as i have heard it said, if you love something enough it will give up its secrets. Perhaps then love is that catalyst to what human kind can embrace to attain the full, or perhaps to say, the ever-developing potential in the form of wisdom, of our species.

As for dropping facebook, I'm afraid I can't--I've got relatives on there that seem capable of communicating with me in no other way. But I'm phasing it back.

Maybe I need to get up earlier in the day.

I gave this presentation in partnership with a friend, an archaeologist who heads the archaeology/anthropology department of his college (and who uses dreams extensively to guide his digs.) He provided the respectable half of the presentation, with fairy lore from cultures all over the world, and their interrelation with dreams. He also brought forth the interesting information that archaeologists keep encountering artifacts that don't seem designed confortably for human hands (too little or too big.)

I have heard accounts, myself, of a grain-grinding set that Yaquis know about, not for eyes outside of the tribe, used by the Surem, the Little People of the Desert, much too small for human use. Yet Indian-style grinding stones acquire their distinctive shape and texture through use, over the course of years.

Every single one of them. Hover over the top right corner of any new notification from an application or someone bothering you with one, some options will pop up. For the over-eager app senders, you can block all app requests from that one person (I had a couple cousins I had to do this to...)

Once that is done, you'll be surprised how time you do not spend on facebook, heh.
 
Yeah, I ignore all of those.

I think the real time-consumer on facebook is having friends of every possible religious, political, and philosophical persuasion, which makes for long and intense interactions. But hey, it does add zing to life!
