So last night my kids wanted to go see this Journey to the Mysterous Island movie...

Nomad

Lorien
Haven't seen a movie that bad in many a year... BUT I got to see the Hobbit trailer which made the whole thing worth it. Ya know everytime I make it back here, no matter how few familiar posters I see (and fewer with each visit it seems) the place still feels like home. Twelve years is a long time for a forum to still be kicking with such vitality... in dog years that's like 84. Well to be precise, it is 84. Maybe I'll stop in for a drink tomorrow. 'Night!

The H. trailer wasn't playing with the showing of Tintin I went to. I'd watched it on my computer but it isn't that exciting on the small screen.

I have Roku and have Flixster installed. I did a search and they do have the Hobbit trailer. So, if one has Roku and a nice tv set up... it's worth queuing it up every now and then to watch.

Disappointingly, Flixster now runs ads every few trailers you watch.

CRIPES it's great to see you!!! As fun as it is to see some old familiar faces (names ;)... it's just as delicious to see old ones pop in and say hi! *waves fondly*

Thanks for the heads-up about that flick. I was thinking of taking the g'kiddies. But "The Hobbit" *thunder sounds in the distance*... what's ya think? Is it a little bit sqweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet????

*twitch*

Twelve years. Wow.... we do have longevity, don't we :)

if you showed up more often, that would be one more familiar poster for the rest of us to enjoy seeing when we log in. In other words: It's good to see you, we miss you, come back soon! [:)]

For the last four years I have been at a job where my boss doesn't take kindly to web surfing... the pay is better but I REALLY miss the freedom I had at the job I held a few years back. In fact it was at that job that I had the time to do things like write all of my riddles... create all my various footers and of course just post and enjoy interacting with other Tolkien geeks. Of course I have my evenings so it isn't a total excuse for being AWOL. I will try to sneak into the fiesta tomorrow without him seeing. :-P

Now stick around, ya hear?

Thanks for the warning about the movie. My 8 1/2 year old grandPatty2 wants to see this. I'll try to dissuade him.[sorry]

You can also load them into photobucket (what I use) .. just don't ever move them within the site from one area to another... it wipes out the url. That's what's happened to me whenever I've encountered the red X of doom! copy it and leave the original right where it is. I have thousands of pics in various files of photobucket and am very happy with it :)

My TV has a Youtube app, but it only displays the videos in 320p! On a 50" screen this doesn't look good. My TV can also convert 2D to 3D, which also doesn't look very good, so I'm hoping for an official 3D trailer soon. I'd love a heads-up if you come across that anywhere! [:)]

I sound all impressive and gadgety, but actually I just have an interest in TVs, everything else I own is pretty useless because I spend all my money on my home theatre, hehe [blush]

I've never seen a troll quack before but there used to be an ugly troll that hung about the place years ago. I don't know if he is still around.
