What's your present for Bilbo and Frodo?

For Bilbo - I have spoons. A beautiful Shefield boxed set with a gold B on the top of the Box ... and I couldnt rsist the Letter opener or (Paper knife) either [:)]

For Frodo - I have a Akubra Hat and a Drizabone Coat.

For Bilbo, I thought a nice waterproof hiking journal, just the right size to tuck in a deep pocket. Not red, though...he'll have to settle for burnt orange this time.

For Frodo, maybe a nice reliquary necklace so he can take a bit of the Shire with him on future journeys, in case he loses a certain chain from around his neck. And some nice ginger pills, for seasickness.

for Frodo, several deep tissue massages and acupuncture sessions for the wound that would never heal. That ought to fix him just fine.
 
give both of them a few bottles of Old Winyards finest, and for Bilbo I have a few pouches of Old Toby and for Frodo a few pouches of Southern Star.

one can never tell...I'm sure they will eat enough, but it is a big celebration!! They might need a wheelbarrow ride to Bag End.
 
I'm recuperating from my second annual organ giving--last year it was my appendix; this year its my gallbladder--hope it make my nauseous stomach and somewhat irritable bowel go away--how about Bilbo, Frodo and myself sharing Yom Kippur too! Well, its gonna be sort of a day of atonement for me--not much to celebrate other than 55 years of life!
Happy Birthday anyway--Bilbo and Frodo--praise them with highest praise!!

Ooh, that doesn't sound like much fun. But when you're recovered and your tummy is feeling better than it has in a long time, it will be worth it. Sending loving, healing thoughts your way!
 
I used to hook rugs all the time, but haven't made one in about 15 years. So I've been collecting wool, cotton, hemp, and other natural fabrics in hundreds of colours to hand-hook a rug for Bilbo and a rug for Frodo (and the other Fellowship members, eventually) during the winter. I don't have the pics here at home, but they'll be reproductions of rugs in the back pages of Pictures by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I'll get the pics together and post them if the thread's still here on Monday ;)
