Pollantir voting limits

Sometimes when I look at a Pollantir thread, the results of voting show up first and no further voting is possible.

E.g., Poll: Could you live without your mobile phone?

It went up only Monday and now late Tuesday does not permit voting.

How long do you recommend a voting window stay open? How is the time period set?

I don't remember there being any time limits on the polls, and I took a look at that poll with my Admin x-ray vision and didn't see a time limit. Maybe you need to refresh your browser? It's possible you had the window open and the 10-minute edit timeframe expired.
 
As entmaiden said, polls don't have time limits. If you've already voted, the voting option won't come up again, but it should always come up if you haven't already voted.

Any chance you could take a screen shot of the message you're getting, or describe it in more detail?
 
Thought I'd check it just in case there was permissions issue between Forum Admin/Moderators and us little folk, but it appears not.

... and checked a very old poll I hadn't voted in and was still able to vote.

I have occasionally (like once or twice) run into a poll that showed results rather than the option to vote. I chalked it up to my having voted already without my remembering it.
 
It appears that my problem is operator error.

I do think that sometimes when I've opened the thread without voting, upon return the way is shut.
