Is that U.S. greenbacks?
You know what I'd do first with a million bucks, Orlando? Since we're name dropping here...
(What do you think he smells like? I bet he's into a woody musk type cologne. My best personal advice there.)
But this is business...and I'm pessimistic.
Investment-grade debt and bonds of industrial corporations...stay safe. Any investment...stock, bond, derivative, venture round...can fail. Moody's may downgrade 17 global financials, so review last year's change in value there, they performed below all the other commodities. People don't buy and hold, then hedge with diversification of the portfolio...when so many public and private companies, and not too long ago I may add...were placed into administration, liquidation, or receivership.
It is better to miss a few points on an uptick, than lose it all on the correction, so I wouldn't even get into real estate, let alone equities. I'm not sure about the 30 year T-bond. I used to think commodities were safe last year, but the liquidity trap factor and all this I'm reading on the internet about demand in the United States this year.
That's what I would do with a million bucks. I'd live below my lifestyle, plus invest in a home with renewable energy technology, somewhere out in the boons.
