I just wanted to express my humble and heartfelt appreciation to all those responsible in their sojourn of steadfast love and devotion to Tolkien and to all of us here in this true fellowship called TheOneRing.Net. Over the years you have been a blessing to us all.
[smile][heart][heart][heart][heart][heart]Cheers!!!!![heart][heart][heart][heart][heart][smile]*

*That was not easy[laugh]

A cup o' kindness, for auld lang syne!

Thank you, sil, and a most Happy New Year to you and yours and everyone here!

*hugs* to all! [:)]

I can't even begin to put into words what all the fun and fellowship of this site have meant to me over the years.

Here's to many more years of the same! [heart][cool][:)]

*Raises glass to TORn*

Thanks to everyone here for making this forum such a great place. Here's to 2013!

TORN and the people here have changed my life in so many positive ways, I can't even begin to list them. You are all very special to me. [heart][heart][heart][heart][:)]

I can only repeat what everyone else has said in this thread. Thank you, sil, for starting it off by stating the obvious---which may be obvious but which doesn't get stated often enough.

Happy 2013 everyone! [heart][heart][heart]

Over the period I've been on this forum I've had a truly brilliant time. It's been fantastic to talk to intelligent and like-minded people who respect your opinions and encourage the strong sense of a fan community (there are so few forums these days that do both or even either of these two things, and the fact that this forum doesn't follow suit is a real credit to it).

I don't know exactly what it is that TORN has, but it's something very special. Cheers and a Happy New Year to one and all![;)][heart]

what this place and the people here mean to me. But after a dozen years, I still enjoy coming here nearly every day and spending time with you all. Thanks to everyone!

... last year was, ugh, let's just say I'm glad I'm not a mod here... and I actually tried to leave at one point. But then I realized that this site is much bigger than a couple bad apples or an unfair decision along the way. I also realized I have too many friends here to just up and disappear.

As an information source, TORN is beholden to no one (Calisuri's ballsey Hobbit review is proof of that). More importantly, this is a place where real friendships and fellowship can flourish, a place that is at its heart a fitting tribute to Tolkien. I am happy to be a member of this community -- thank you to everyone who make this place what it is.
