It's Friday already? Come on in to Fiesta!

Welcome, one and all, to a wonderful autumn Fiesta Friday (spring for our SHS - Southern Hemi Sibs)! Is it just me, or does it not smell so yummy outside with all the fallen leaves and brisk air. I could just stand outside and breath in the air for hours (if my stubborn allergies wouldn't kill me, lol). [laugh]

Spread the word that next Friday will be our 5th, yes, our 5th annual Homecoming Fiesta! So, if you know of anyone who used to haunt these shores, tell them we miss them and would love to have them peek in and say hello. We may also have a bit of a special announcement to go with the special day (no, it is *not* Hobbit related).

So, pull up a bar stool or a comfy chair by the fire, and share what's going on in RL with us!

*kicks juke box* "When I see you smile" by Bad English starts to play (dedicated to my wonderful Kiwi, BG [heart])

Happy, fun weekend, everyone! [cool][:)]

I love kicking about in big piles of leaves, even though I'm supposed to be a grown up!

Had the day off work today, as I went to Cake International to see the exhibits. Once again, I chickened out of actually entering, the standard is so very high!

Dinner with my Dad tomorrow, and Scout has a show on Sunday, but hoping to relax the rest of the time. I've had a nasty cold this week that just doesn't seem to want to let go!

Happy weekend everyone!

Sorry to hear about your cold, Jazmine. [pirate] Get lots of rest this weekend and get well! [:)]

Happy birthday to you!

I'm expecting the grands over at about 4 p.m. They are wanting to watch something I netflixed for them, called "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". Perhaps later we will watch The Sound of Music in blu--a gift from my MIL. I looked at about 20 minutes of it to see the picture quality--it's stunning. If anybody is on the fence about this, take it from me, it looks grand.

Have a great week, everyone.[sly]

I really do love this time of year. I'm a sweater, jacket kinda gammer that doesn't like to sweat and bat at bugs. Love your choice in music for you BG dude! *waves howdy*

I've been busy at the computer, as usual, and prepping for the 4 test administration in the past 6 weeks... but it's my LotR/Hobbit money, so it's all good! Our Harry Potter Halloween Brood is picking a day/time when we can all dress up and go the Deathly Hallows pt1! I've already got my ticket for 12:15 am the morning of Nov 19th... and I'm getting absolutely giddy with anticipation! I hope they do a good job with the storyline. *wrings hands*

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend and enjoys the seasonal weather... whatever it may be :)

HUGS TO ALL!

Hmmm, I couldn't find a picture of a tall K&C, so I guess most places don't make them tall - but we do here at the Fiesta bar! I did notice how many people name their pets Kahlua & Cream though, lol.

Enjoy the time with the grand-Pattys. The Sound of Music in Blu Ray sounds divine - *puts on list*

Thanks for the wishes too, my dear. I'm assembling a mathom for later.

Hugs and happy weekend, Patty! [:)]

When I got home from work last night, I learned that my neighbor had passed away suddenly from a stroke. He was just shy of his 65th birthday.

He was a fixture in the neighborhood and the apple of his mother's eye. His father died when he his son was a young man, leaving him to look after his mother for the rest of his life. He lost an eye when he was a young man (in a work-related accident, I think), and because of that, he lived with his mother off his disability pension and his father's pension. Now his mother is in her eighties and alone.... and she didn't even get to say good-bye to him because she was staying temporarily at his cousin's when he passed away at the hospital. I feel so sad for her.

God bless them both and God keep him.

One of the things I want to do this weekend is fix my dvd system! I really have to just DO IT! I keep waiting to catch up on some things first, but it's been over a year of waiting! GEEZ! Can't wait to see my LotR in blu!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, m'dear! :D *big hug*

Specifically Martin Miller's and Fever Tree Indian with a slice of lime.

Just got back from inspecting a local power plant. Thanks to BP I'm having to do a year's worth of work in two months time.

Tiring, yet exhilarating!

Oooh, that's right. The new HP movie is just around the corner. We're looking forward to it too.

Don't work too hard, but go Hobbit money!!! It's nice to know you have your priorities straight - HP and Hobbit - a great combination! [laugh]

Those lingering colds are just NASTY!

You MUST enter yourself in the next competition! You'll do GREAT and it's a wonderful experience... a place to get started. I mean, it's not fair to Scout to enter him in competitions and not yourself ;) If it's good enough for the dog, it's good enough for you!!!!! *whispers* I've never competed in something like that... so I've got a lot of nerve giving you sauce about it! ;)

I love kicking leaves too!!!! :D

Have a great weekend!

"I used to spend a week just breathing" - ! [laugh]

But I know what you mean: there's something very fragrant about Autumn air. [:)]

Homecoming again, already? Awesome! Remember when that would "break the Boards"? [;)]

Might I have a tall mug of Constant Comment tea, please, Altaira? I've got to rush off to a meeting, and listen to the "constant comments" of others...[:P]

*looks at Patty's post* What's this? A birthday? Many most happy returns, Altaira! [cool]

Sorry to hear about that, diedye. It sounds like he was a first class person.

*hugs* & take care. [:)]

To lose him is sad enough, but to know that his mother is grieving and alone after so many years fo being cared for by him is heart-wrenching.

Here's to your neighbour... and to his sweet mother.

It is not standing outside weather here in Ohio. It is 42 deg. F and VERY windy. It is do what ever needs to be done outside and get back in quickly weather!

OhioHobbit and I will have hot chocolates -- his with some rum and mine with just a drop or two of almond flavoring.

Right now we are hunkering down and hoping for more warm weather. We have been gathering our leaves for compost, so we have a full bin again.

Here's hoping everyone has a great weekend and a better week next week!

I'm not a G&T expert, but I do like to have one every now and then (mostly in the heat of the summer) and that sounds intriguing.

I'm glad you're viewing all your extra work as exhilarating. It *can* be sometimes if you enjoy what you're doing which it sounds like you do.

*mixes another G&T 'for the road.' Sounds like you might need it!

Happy weekend, dear sir. [:)]

And everyone thinks that mess is winding down! *shakes head* You can only go as fast as you can... just don't forget to breathe!!

Hang in there, Darkstone!

Perfect analogy, dernwyn, as it's primarily the lovely trees that make the world such a beautiful place this time of year.

*pours hot tea to-go and give dernwyn ear plugs just in case the comments get too monotonous* [laugh]

Thanks for the wishes, and have a wonderful weekend, my dear!

Hmm... the timing of when the laptop decides to act up is becoming a little suspicious...! [laugh]

Anyway, what matters is I finally made it, right? :D A Fall/Winter Usual, please, Altaira-- thanks, and I hope you have an awesome weekend! :)

It's a good thing you got all those leaves gathered before the wind came up, Alcarcalime, lol. [laugh] I confess that since we don't have many deciduous trees, we usually let the wind take care of our leaves as opposed to raking them. [blush]

I hope it warms up just enough to get outside and enjoy the weekend!
